Hi Everyone!

My brother has Stage IV esophageal cancer with mets to the liver. He was at MD Anderson last week, and was told that they're prescribing a new "cocktail" of chemo for him, but they advised that he get into a clinical trial somewhere closer to home (west coast). I don't know how to go about even FINDING clinical trials...has anyone had any experience with them? I think he goes to his local oncologist tomorrow (Monday) to begin the new cocktail...

Please help! Thanks so much!

Sandy

Dear Loosykrdo. I would recomend the City of Hope Medical Center in Duarte, California. I had Stage IV Esophageal cancer in 2000. They had to remove the entire Esophagus but I'm still here.

Thanks so much for your reply, Edward. Did you also have metastases to the liver? Had you received previous treatments before you went to the City of Hope?

Thanks, Rob! I've gone to the site, and am winding my way through it. It's very helpful.

    Thanks again,
