Hi there. I saw on another post that you are on Iriontecan and Vectibix. I am also on this combo now and was wondering how you are doing. This combo has been much easier for me to handle than the FOLFOX,and I sure don't miss that noisy little pump. My CEA has continued to drop and things look good. A few minor side effects that were handled with meds. I will be on this for 26 rounds, have completed 12 so far. At this time I am inoperable and onc hopes that a year of chemo might make surgery a possibility.
Hope you are doing well on this combo and things go well for you.

Deb

Wow thanks for asking. I am doing pretty well. I have to agree that this is much better than the FOLFOX. I just finished round 5. Onc said about three months and then scan. Then we will see what is going on and how to proceed. I also am inoperable and am hoping for stable or shrinking.

Had major rash reaction with the first treatment. Had to decrease to 50%, use clydimicin gel and go on antibiotics. It was not pretty. My counts are low so I am on Neulasta. My skin is wicked dry and it is not winter yet. I hate to think of what it will be like in the dry air. I do not do CEA levels as they are not a predictor for me. but my energy returns full force about day 5 or 6 and I am continuing to work.

I really like hearing how someone else is doing on this. I am one of the first to use Vectibix at my treatment center.

Hope things continue to go well for you. Keep in touch.

    Hugs
