We had Ed's memorial Saturday, it was beautiful. Diana and I are doing ok. I think there is some sort of relief within both of us that he is at peace now. It was a long, horrible year for all three of us and I believe that God decided to take my husband because none of us could go on any longer, especially Ed. I want to thank every one of you that have posted to me in the past year, without all of you, I don't know what I would of done, especially Mr. Marshall. He was my "Dad" throughout this horrible ordeal and he is a special man. I will keep reading this website, following all the stories and hope all of you do well with your treatment plans. I will continue to keep you updated on how we are doing.
Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

Love

Linda and Diana

    a new problem is starting!!!!
I think you all know that my Mom has been in/out of the same hospital as Ed the past year with complications from copd/lung isses. She has been in the hospital for three weeks and was unable to attend Ed's memorial, just got off the phone with my sister, she has taken a turn for the worse and the hospital is starting her on morpheine and send her to my sister's house with hospice. She is a rn so I think she will do ok with my mom. I always had this feeling that God would take Ed and my mother very close but I was surely hoping not this close. I am so saddened by this phone call, I don't know if I can bear losing my mother so close to losing my husband. Please pray for us again. This has been the worse year of my life and it is not over yet. I am very very close to my mom and have not seen her since last wednesday when Ed passed away two floor downs from her in the hospital. I cannot seem to get a grip and go up there and visit her. I cannot walk back into that hospital where he passed away. Dear Lord, please give us the strength to handle another disaster coming down the road.

OMG YES GOD DOESN'T GIVE YOU MORE THAN YOU CAN HANDLE
    Linda,

i am so sorry for ED'S passing, but you are an amazing woman, First off GOD doesn't give you more than you can handle, even though at times we think he does, I know exacty how you feel about GOD taking them so close together, I have yet walked back in the hospital that my father died in 5 years ago, I just cant do it, and you know what you can handle cause you are scared knowing you left your loved on that floor just last week and he went to heaven to the rest of the EC patients. Yes GOD took ED first cause he knew you couldn't handle loosing your mother first and then loosing your husband, its is very tough loosing your mother i saw mine one day left at 5:00 pm and 2 hours later the home called and said she had passed away, I was in total shock!!!

I wish you the best and if we can help you on CSN we will No the year isn't over yet, but please don't ask whats next cause it could happen,

    GOD BLESS and hugs

Linda, So sad to hear about
Linda, So sad to hear about your mother taking a turn for the worst.Even though we know the condition, it doesn't ease the pain when it becomes a fact. Rest assured that God is still in control. Lean on him to give you the comfort you need. I will be praying for God's sweet grace to help you through the times yet to come.
God bless you and family, Sandra
