Hi girls, first, thank you all so very much for your prayers, support, and encouragement. Reading all of your replies made me get teary. You have all been through so much and many are currently suffering yet you make the time to try and comfort me. Reading your posts makes me feel better than talking to anyone in person:)

I spoke with the doctor again this morning. She wants to do an ultrasound and a biopsy, but due to the location of the "area" she feels that it will be necessary to do an MRI assisted biopsy. The next day that she can schedule both in the same day is friday. This sucks because now I have a few days to worry. I keep telling myself not to worry but you know how that goes. A couple years ago I had a spot on an MRI but as she was scheduling an ultrasound she said that she thought it could be a blood vessel-which is what it turned out to be. I asked her today if she thought it may be that this time but she would not say.

The last couple times this happened she only brought me in for the ultrasound, but this time she feels it necessary to schedule the biopsy. I guess that is what worries me. But, I can't do anything about it and worrying will not help. What does help though is having all of you with me! Thank you again, I will keep you posted.

    it's hard not to fear the unknown. I had a stereostatic MRI assisted biopsy on my non cancerous breast to find out exactly what it was. It was LCIS. My other breast was 6.1 cm ILC. The procedure takes awhile (45min) but it's worth it to find out results. I know Friday seems like a long time to stress out but try to stay calm. Sending you cyber {{hugs}}

    And PEACE
Sorry you must wait, but like you said -- worrying will not help or make it happen faster.

May you be surrounded in LOTS of PEACE!

remember that it is possible its nothing. but they would be wrong to not check. I have had biopsies that the docs didnt think were anything and ones that they thought it was something and both were negative. Its hard not to worry, just distract distract distract. stay in the moment. I had one of those biopsies it was fine. I thought it was better than the MRI itself, as it was shorter and I was not alone. We will pray for you, and of course let us know what time to come!

Time certainly passes slowly sometimes, especially when we have something weighing heavily on our minds. I know that is what's happening to you right now. For these next few days, focus on your family, friends, and those kids at school. Keep positive thoughts as we know this could be a false alarm, but a scare nevertheless. Hoping and continuing to pray that your results on Friday are something minor.

    Waiting is so hard!
Try to keep yourself busy if that would help you to take your mind off it. That seemed to work about as well as anything could when i was going through that awful waiting period.

Before I had my surgery, there were 4 different areas that they wanted to biopsy. Fortunately 3 of the 4 came back negative, so just because they want to look more closely doesn't mean it will be bad news.

Keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you!

    Waiting is the hardest part
Try and stay positive and hopeful. Your doctor sounds like she just wants to take precaution.

    Praying all goes well,

    Thank you, Eil, for updating
Thank you, Eil, for updating us. We will keep the prayers and positive thoughts coming. You have such a good attitude about waiting--we survivors do learn about waiting, don't we? I hope that all the things needed for your move to the new school will help the days pass more quickly.

If I remember correctly, MRIs commonly lead to more biopsies, which generally turn out to be unnecessary because of benign findings. In my case, when doctors have been suspicious, they have given little hints to prepare me for possibilities. With your doctor not giving strong signals either way, my impression is that she is being very thorough and cautious, and not necessarily expecting to find anything concerning. So, I have much faith and hope that this scare, too, will turn out to be just that--and then you can get back to your regularly scheduled life.

    waiting sucks
Honestly, I think the waiting and the fear are the worst parts. So I'll wait with you. Monday's over, just about. How will we fill up the next three days? I've gotta go to work, but I'll keep good thoughts for you. Do you have work/projects/anything that can remotely distract you for moments at a time? It's hard, I know. We're all here with you:)

Sorry to hear that you have
Sorry to hear that you have to wait until Friday. Waiting sucks big time. As hard as it is, thank goodness you have a cautious doctor. Remember, it may be nothing at all. So remember to take some good, deep breaths....xoxoxoxo Lynn

    Sweet Eil~ first of all,
Sweet Eil~ first of all, hugs to you! It is a no-win situsation, in my line of thought...waiting is hard but I would also "freak out" if I was told to not waste time and get in for the biopsy today!
I know you are on pins and needles, and it goes without saying that we hope to hear very soon from you that it was something other than you-know-what.

Whatever it is or isn't, we are with you. But you knew that already, didn't you?

    Waiting is nerve-wracking, for sure...
And you are so right - can't do a darned thing 'til then, and worrying without knowing if there's an actual need to won't "help"... (sigh) Will be sending special hopes & prayers your way on Friday, Eil.

    Kind regards, Susan
