New suspicious area

Hi everyone, I have not been on a lot lately. Will be starting a new job and have been oober busy preparing for that and we are doing a little bit of renovating on our house. Except for a few minor scares, life has been pretty normal since my treatment in 2006.

I had my annual MRI yesterday and my doc called me at 7pm from her car. Right away I recognized her "serious voice" that took me back.......she said there is a nodule on the original breast that lit up on the scans. Not far from original tumor bed. She said that I need to come back asap for an ultrasound and most likely a biopsy. I had a spot biopsied in november that turned out fine, but she hadn't used her serious voice for that one and had said that it could be nothing and the biopsy was a precaution. Not this time. This time I'm really nervous. It just feels different.

I hope so much that I'm wrong and it turns out to be a false alarm. This is a bad time to have to deal with this. I transferred to the high school and will be meeting my new colleages and students in a little over a week. There is so much to do. I am so sick of these scares that throw me into a panic and interfere with my life. Please add me to your prayers? I always feel such comfort and support here. You have always been in my prayers as well. God bless. Eileen

    Praying for you right now
I'm sure it's a false alarm - God only knows how many "false alarms" the ladies here have been dragged through. God bless your doc for taking it seriously and God bless you!

I will not add you to my prayers because you have always been included in them since I joined this forum.

Don't worry too much about your new job - I'm sure things will work fine and they will be understanding if you need to take off for medical reasons.

    Praying for You, Eil
I am praying for you and hoping for another false alarm. MRIs are notorious for that. I am sorry that you are again having to go through the whole nightmare cycle of waiting and testing and waiting again. Sending up prayers for you and your family, and positive thoughts, too.

Did you have radiation on that area?
Just wondering because my radiologist told me that basically guaranteed that I would not get cancer back in that area. I hope and pray that it turns out to be NOTHING!
