Sugar and spice and all things nice

I'm two months out of chemotherapy, about a third of the way through radiation, and there is a light dusting of snow on the roof.

About halfway through chemo I developed swelling on the surgical side. Long story short, I have donned a compression sleeve and am getting physical therapy. I recall vividly the evening before I noticed the swelling, I was just trying to have a normal evening, watching a DVD with my daughter and eating popcorn.

After reading some of these boards, recalling some of my grandma's wisdom, and the purchase of 'Anticancer: A New Way of Life', still trying to keep this long story short, I have moved towards a no sugar and low sodium diet. I'm walking anywhere between 1 and 4 miles a day, and you know what? The swelling is pretty much gone.

Sooo, with no sugar...I hope I still have a bit of spice and would like to think all things nice...where does this leave me?
