What does NED mean????

I don't mean to sound stupid, but what does NED mean????

    No Evidence of Disease
    None of our docs will say "you are cured" so when the tests are negative they say "No evidence of disease".

    THANKS!
    I'll have to remember that one. I do know that drs don't say you're cured so Thanks for answering what NED means :-)

    If only they would all get together and use the same terms...
    In case you hear other terms, Char -- NED is very common, but some of our doctors just have to be different:

    My radiologist uses No Evidence of Recurrent Tumor (NERT), and I've also seen other women here mention NSF, which I think is No Significant Findings, and No Evidence of Residual Disease (NERD).

    But -- by any name -- it's ALL good!

    and remember to have Ned is termed "dancing with Ned" and we all like a turn to we have to share. he gets around.
