Just want to say that I find your courage, your bravery, your honesty, your kindness, your words, so inspiring.

    Thank you very much for your kind words....all of us are wonderful people and we are fantastic fighters! We will do our best to say NO Thanks, don't want any cancer today.

    Hi Lisha...
    I don't know what I'd be like without the wonderful people in this group! John/Cobra was the very first to respond when I joined and it felt so wonderful to have someone my age and being a man tell me it was "OK" to be scared, confused and say I wasn't alone with this cancer! All of the folks that followed with their responses opened up a whole new out-let and place of comfort to fall back on. It is a God-send indeed! Thank you for letting us help you through this difficult time....anytime we will all be here for you!

    age is how old you feel
    Hi Sue,
    I am not at your age yet, I'll be 56 in Oct. But I have days when I feel like I am in my 80s and wish for the days when I felt like I was in my 30s. I am a young grandma , three grandkids. The oldest will be 14 in Nov, middle is 12 next month and the youngest is 6. Believe it or not, they make me feel young !!!

    Hi Lisha,
    I'll be 60 in September and still feel fairly young, but do wish I had more energy to pull from. My grandkids are 18 and 19 and even though they are busy with their own lives, they still come by and keep me on my toes. My grand daughter(20 in Sept) got me hooked up on facebook which is kind of fun, but I'm not the best at doing it. My grandson(18) is a gentle guy and has taken my cancer very hard. He calls alot and always feels like he needs to be doing something for me. They keep me young also and I look forward to seeing them grow up to be fine young adults. I'm not going to let this cancer get in the way of that and thats a fact! I just hope when I start chemo it won't scare the grandkids off...they are use to having a perky active gramma, not one feeling sick all of the time. Oh well...we will just have to wait and see how it goes. Have a good day Lisha...
