I had surgery to remove an positive axillary node (second recurrence of ovarian cancer since 2007). Prior to surgery I had a PET scan which indicated that this node is the only posiive node. The surgery was on July 17th, 2007.

A couple of weeks after surgery I noticed a "formation" that had the form of a thick coin, however, as time went by the "formation" became smaller and smaller. However, approx. 2 weeks ago I noticed a had nodule under the incision / scar that is very hard and somewhat painful. I am scared that this is a recurrence in a new node, though I also find it weird that it would develop so soon and right under the incision.

This node was not moving at first, but in the last couple of days I noticed that it started being a bit "mobile" -- I did massage the area a bit.

I was wondering if any of you experienced the same thing? If so, how did yours feel and behave? What did yours turn out to be?

Many thanks and a big hug to all of you!

Trying to keep this on top
I didn't have the same as you, but am putting this back up on top so others may see it. YOu mentioned that it wasn't movable, but now it is. Are these tiny pockets of infection, since you had one appear, then went away maybe?

I think I'd call the surgeon and ask, just to put your mind at ease. And we both know, that isn't easy to do at this stage. So, breathe deeply, make your call, and here's a quick hug and prayer that everything is alright.

Someone will be along shortly to help.

    Hoping for B9...

    I had scar tissue
that felt like lumps under my scar line. I freaked out because I thought it was a malignant node.

But please do have it checked out.

    Praying all goes well,

    I having been dealing with
I having been dealing with lumps for awhile now.
I found my breast cancer cuz i had a large lump in my breast and 4 small lumps in my underarm all on the right side. The one in my breast was cancerous and it was large oval and flat shaped and felt ripples in it...not smooth. The 4 under my arm were like pea size and they seemed to move and they hurt (one in breast did not) When i went for my lumpectomy they were also removing the ones in my underarm which turned out to be cyst and not cancer but they only removed 3 of them cuz one had dissappeared.
At the end of my chemo treatments ...at the time i had one more to go. I found another lump under my arm, by the time i got to my docs it disappeared. This happened again and the third time she finally got to see it...good thing cuz i thought they were thinkin i was makin this up. Anyway she said thats a good sign they keep disappearing...meaning not cancerous, but if one stays then she wants me right back in there. Usually they would disappear after about 2 weeks some 3 or 4 weeks.
    I hope this helps some!
