My posts were deleted for some reason

I just came back onto the Spiritual discussion board and realized that my posts from this morning were deleted. I have emailed Greta to find out why and still waiting for her response but wanted those of you who read them everyday to know why they are not there. I did post them this morning so when I hear back from her I will let you know what is going on. I am sorry for the confusion and hopefully I will be able to put them back on there tomorrow. If for some reason I am not allowed to you can read them for yourself if you go to www.rbc.net and go under the devotionals and for all scripture, of course, read your bible for more spiritual inspiration. I don't want to fight against this network nor get kicked off of it so all I can say is I am sorry that my idea is hitting a roadblock.

This is not the place to 'hawk' your 'religion''
I am glad that you get support from your religion/belief. I gain so much fom mine! We all here come from a multitude of beliefs/faiths/thoughts - all need to be respected. What is 'right' for one is not right for ALL. I embrace knowledge of spirituality of all. Yes - I am a member of a very large 'Christian religion', and do read my Scriptures often. I rejoice in learning of other cultures/beliefs - I have learned so much from my "Native American" friends - no it doesn't come from the Bible but is so close - closer than so many of the 'modern translations/versions' of the Bible. Not to forget a very special Wiccan friend - she was probably the closest I've ever had to a "sister". I don't think I've ever know a 'better' person in my life.

    That's how I feel.

I have no idea~ as I see your posts dated yesterday are there! There are some interesting topics discussed on that board! Food for thought; I always enjoy having my brain stimulated--sometimes, depending on the subject being discussed, it even reaches my heart! LOL

    I am a spiritual person.
    Hi Lorrie,

I am curious to hear what happened. I am a spirtiual person but do not belong to any particular religious order. I am alway glad to read about anything that gives someone peace. However I think we need to be careful not to speak of our beliefs as if they are the same for everyone. It could turn women off who really need emotional support. Some may even be athiests. All are welcome on this site.

    Fascinating! I must say, as
Fascinating! I must say, as a person who didn't even KNOW the Spirituality board existed, I am thrilled to have found it! I have spent hours today just reading what people wrote~ it is a great site! It is open to disagreement, to being less than happy with God, to wondering if God caused or allowed cancer ( a which came first kind of line of questioning) to book suggestions~ it runs the gamut from soup to nuts as they say! Christians, non-Christians, disallusioned ones, angry ones, questioning ones~ they are all there! AWESOME!

I don't know about any of you, but rather than the complaints made, hard feelings and misunderstandings generated here on the Breast Cancer boards recently~ not to mention I for one hate "walking on egg-shells" about anyone's faith or lack thereof~ I am so happy to know and read and participate on the Spirituality boards without having to worry about stepping on anyone's toes! Now, that, in my opinion anyway, is a true blessing! Thanks CSN! you rock!

    Hugs,
    Chen♥

PS..I still don't know why any were deleted, Lorrie~ considering the subjects and topics I read today, it seems like a computer glitch more than anything else! But what do I know? Keep us posted!

It is really sad that first
It is really sad that first you got banned to another discussion thread on this site, and, now they are deleting them there. This makes no sense.

When I came on, I always read them on here, maybe didn't post, but, read them and liked them a lot.

Now you say some of the ones you wrote on the other thread are missing?

Wish I had some answers for you Lorrie. Not sure what is going on with this site anymore.

Hoping you get an answer, a good answer.

I will watch to see what it is.

Sending you a hug and a prayer,

This has really struck a nerve with me. I try not to gripe about cancer but THIS I will complain about! You have the right to say or write anything you want. If others don't wish to hear or read these words, they can PASS IT BY. I have my own beliefs about God, other gods, and religion in general. I will stand by the premise that this great country was founded on - religious freedom! Then there's Freedom of Speech! It guarantees your right to say and write what you choose. It even covers burning the flag - IF that's what you want to do! Now they tell us we can't say The Pledge of Allegiance because it says, "one nation under God". They say we should remove "In God We Trust" from our currency and coin. When do we stop losing the rights our forefathers fought so hard to attain?!

If cancer can "overexpress", why can't we simply EXPRESS? GOD BLESS AMERICA!

    Keep on posting!

I don't think there is any
I don't think there is any disagreement on this point..I was saying it is awesome that there is a Spirituality Board right here on CSN and it is all-inclusive and definitely thought-provoking! I admire the ACS for having a place to post things we believe or don't believe in, or want to question or affirm or take issue with. It is absolutely in keeping with freedom of both thought and speech~ and it doesn't matter if the poster believes in God, or Nature,or nothing at all! It , as they say, doesn't get any better than that! No matter what God we believe in ( or not) or what our country of origin is, or where we may live! With the Internet being international in scope, and cancer not discriminating or having any gender or racial bias, I again applaud the ACS/CSN for giving a forum to anyone and everyone to comment on things spiritual!

I thank the ACS and CSN in particular for creating a site where various beliefs can find a place to vent...just as we vent about cancer! you rock ACS!

    The difference is this isn't
The difference is this isn't our site and the ACS/CSN provide it free for our support of each other but they retain the right to remove anything they see fit. This is the same on other message boards. Certain content provokes or is offensive. On a news site where comments were posted under articles, they got tired of people calling other people names (and worse) and removed the comments ability. Some people cried 'Freedom of speech' and they were told "If you don't like it, start your own site." We have freedom of speech but there is always a line somewhere. We have to respect other people also.

    mixed feelings-my personal thoughts
Lorrie, I know you are sincere and I always enjoy your posts. I would rather just hear you and not the scripture. I am not sure what I believe, but I know my faith (or lack of) is a very personal journey.

My family view of religion was that you would never talk about it in public any more than you would talk about your underwear. LOL.

Seriously, I do think of other faiths and the non-believers too when I see Christian scripture and think that this forum should be to support all and not just Christians.

But everyone is so different. Anyway, I enjoy your posts especially sans scripture but I will take you anyway you present yourself as I have developed great respect for your honesty and wisdom.
