I have been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and will start my clinical trial tomorrow. I am of course very nervous and would love to read about "Survial Stories" please.

    GOOD LUCK
Good luck to you with your clinical trial. If you click on a persons name/picture you can read their story....if they chose to write it.

I was dx at age 41 with stage 4 OVCA in Sept of 2008. I misdiagnosed for several months with irritable bowel. It wasn't until I had a full bowel obstruction that a ctscan was done and I was properly diagnosed. My major surgery left me with a temporary illesotomy. I completed 5 rounds of IV carbo/taxol. Avastin was not recommended at that time given my bowel problems and illeostomy. I had my ostomy reversed when I completed to carbo/taxol. At the time of that reversal surgery they did a 'second look' and placed an intra peritonel (IP) port. There was no evidence of disease present (YEA!). I then went on to have 3 rounds of IP cisplat/taxol. My ca125 started at 720 and my completion ca125 was 7.

    Good luck!!!
