Hello Ladies,

I do not post very often, but I do check in all of the time for the very helpful information you all provide as well as the wonderful and inspiring words of courage and hope. I finished my chemo in January and so far so good. But, my question is - has anyone had any experience with Topotecan? I have a friend who finished her chemo last Dec. and has recently had a reoccurrence and will be receiving this for her next treatment. Any and all information would be appreciated. Her reoccurrence has made me a little nervous. My next CA 125 check is in August.

Hi tngirl, I'd like to know more about topotecan, too. My sister will be starting it in the next week. This will be her 4th foray into various chemo treatments. I pray it will be the one that puts her (and your friend) in remission for a very long time! I go to a cancer group next week, and I know someone there will have some info, too. I'll check back.
Hugs and good wishes to you!

I too am looking for info on this drug for my mom. I'll check back too - her oncologist offered it for her. She had Stage IV uterine cancer in 2004 & was in remission until Nov. 2009. It is now in her liver & she did not do well at all w/ the chemo earlier this year. From what I've read online this is a drug they give when previous chemos have "failed". Her Onc. said remission will not occur, but my 81 year old mother doesn't want to do nothing but we have to weigh quality of life w/ side effects. So any info any has would be greatly appreciately!

Big hugs to everyone - Karen
