Okay guys im so confused. My obgyn told me she found a tumor while doing surgery for endometriosis, it came back as borderline ovarian cancer. I am now going to a gyno onco but the first one i went to was a prick and made not time for me so i am changing to make a long story short. he told me nothing except spots were found in other places, my uterus and bladder so i had to get a CT Scan and then biopsies to see if its spread. I am going to my new doctor wednesday and hopefully will gain a piece of mind but as of right now im totally confused. The doctor i first saw said it wasnt cancer, but my obgyn said it was and my CA 125 was high. Why would they check to see if it spread and if the cancer cells are of high malignancy in other places if it isnt cancer. Why would my obgyn, who is great by the way say it was cancer. Im hoping my new doctor can clear things up for me. Until then does anyone have borderline ovarian cancer here, and from what i understand it is cancer, just of a low malignancy but can still spread and be as dangerous and normal ovarian cancer and should be treated as such. Anyways just looking for some advice, or myb needed to vent. Totally confused

    Hmmmmmm
I am not sure what borderline cancer is, but I for sure believe that you need to find the best gyn/onc near you and have them review your records immediately. Once that happens, you will be able to be clear about what is going on. Shame on your doctors for not being clearer with you about your situation. I would also suggest you bring a friend who can listen with you to what the doctors say. Sometimes, when the word cancer is mentioned our ears seem to be affected. Finally, I might write down whatever questions you have as well and bring those. I find that helps my mother as she gets a little overwhelmed at times when she is with the doctor. I will pray for you this weekend that there is no cancer and if there is that it is low grade and stage 1/2!!

    Hi
Hi. I am so sorry to hear this.. do they mean precancerous? How could they tell you there were other spots before doing a CT scan? Or are there spots showing up but they don't know if those spots are cancer or just benign growths/scar tissue... How high was your CA125... sorry, lots of questions and more than a little confused. You say you are going in Wed. We'll be thinking about you and hoping for good news. Write down all of your questions and maybe take someone with you to be your "ears" Insist on answers and copies of your scan results. My mother's gyn/onc. was able to print out a copy of her scan results at our visits. He was a total prick too.. you're not in Ohio are you...

    Confused as you
hey not in ohio lol florida but i guess they are all around. My CA 125 was high but i dont know numbers. My obgyn said it is cancer, i guess a low malignant cancer cell but it doesnt mean that its borderline everywhere. its very confusing but im hoping wednesday i will get more answers from my new doctor. Not sure what the CT scan said yet but i will find that out wednesday. The spots were found during surgery I guess but have not been biopsied yet so who knows. I as confused as you, i hope i get smoe answers. I will definitely be bringing someone with me and i will hopefully know more then.
