I have collected coca cola for yrs' and my kitchen is done in red and white with coca cola everywhere. My son works for pepsi and i think it would be fun to post pic's of your favorite collection or passion whichever it may be. My oldest and dearest item is 1910 coca cola girl serving tray in perfect condition that my mothers got me.I also collect antique's and i have a very primtive home. Maybe we can gt to know each other a little better, and have some fun learning about new things.

i collect penguins . . .or do they collect me?
there are penguins in every room of my house - i have a penguin bathroom, a penguin bedroom, penguin dishes, glasses, stuffed penguins, blown glass penguins, gold penguins, crystal penguins, even a cement penguin on my doorstep to greet my guests! at christmas, the christmas penguins come out of storage - i have ten foot tree all decorated with penguin ornaments, penguin tree skirt, penguin stockings. it was not my decision to collect penguin, a couple of people where i worked started, and then things snowballed from there!

cows (well, not the actual animal) . . .
I am reminded of family vacations every summer to my aunt & uncle's dairy farm every time I see cows - I loved the cows and I loved going to their place when I was growing up! I have cow collectibles that bring all those memories back to me.

    I do not collect anything,
I do not collect anything, although my house is done in all country, (except my basement, which my hubby and daughter decorated since they were sick of country), and I do love to go to country stores and craft shows. However, i love to read. I alway have, since i read all the Nancy Drew books when I was little. I read mostly bestsellers, nothing too heavy. I also love to read magazines, i read at least 10 mags a month. I have found that ever since i was on chemo, i have sometimes have trouble concentrating on a book, so I guess that is why magazines are easier. I even love to read cook books! I also love candles, i can spend hours in the Yankee Candle store!

    concentrating on books
I was off from work for 9 weeks - didn't have chemo, but had two surgeries and radiation. I love to read, too, but just got through 2 1/2 books during that whole time. Even without chemo, I found that, with everything going on - waiting for test results, going through so much anxiety while waiting for chemo to start (I was scheduled to start chemo, but that changed 4 days before the "start date"), and all, I couldn't concentrate on my books. Also, I was on the computer for hours every day trying to find out as much as I could about breast cancer and the treatments, so that was also a factor.

    Here chick, chick, chick!!
I like this thread and the idea, Kickie!! This is fun!

Chickens are my passion. They have got to be the cutest creatures ever. We used to live across the street from a man who had a flock, and washing dishes was made that much more enjoyable as I watch those little things. Amazing that nothing more was broken that what was! So, now I have a sizable chicken collection, and it's growing. My hobbies are my flower beds, pot plants, and reading.

I used to collect birds but
I used to collect birds but don't really collect anything anymore.

Hobbies, I like working with computers. I have even built my own from scratch. It challenges my brain. The hard stuff I can figure that out. It's is the easy stuff I have problems with.

I like to crochet sometimes. Have done a lot of that lately. Making hats to donate to different CTUs.

I really dont collect anything but have alot of hobbies.
I make my own halloween costumes and done this for my kids since they were little...now that they are older they put in their orders, and i had to do it all by hand since i never learned how to use a sewing machine.
I also do glass etching and i also draw, i really like drawing disney characters or portraits of my family.
I love altering pictures, turning them into cartoons or restoring old pics or doing touch ups or cloning people into another picture stuff like that.

I'm starting to do some antique collecting
This past year, for Christmas I got everyone an antique, either a book, old specs, jewelry, beer steins, tea cups...etc...

I just want my kids to appreciate history and things of old. They really enjoyed it so whenever I get a chance to go to any of these small towns I hit the antiques.

My other passion is baking the biggest, gooiest, chocolate laden chocolate chip cookies. I used to have a cookie business but had to give it up when my husband at the time lost his job. I still bake and take orders.

    Blessings,
    Syl

    I love to read. Mainly
I love to read. Mainly vampire novels.Good authors are J.R Ward and Staphanie Meyer. Just got into books by Martina Cole and they are novels based around London's gangland and crime villains (fiction) and are gripping!

Also i do Tae Kwondo (8 years) and i love to compete around the UK and i passed my 3rd degree black belt exam last November. I even put off my BMx for nearly a year so i could take my last grading exam as i had worked too hard for it to not do it.

I also love photography but i only take snaps but some of my snaps seem to come out really good!

I just got the Nikon D5000 about a year ago. (had to get different lenses too). My husband had to be scrapped off the ceiling. I reminded him that I was going to buy it and we discussed the cost. His comment was "I thought you were joking". Anyway, I absolutly love it. Because I work with animals most of my pics are of them, I don't need their permission. Same with places. I love to take people but they are the MOST unwilling. Sorry to ramble. Yes it is one passion that I have.

Additional pieces for my Grandmas dishes.
The first dishes I remember. I loved my Grandma so, and her house was a haven. Thankfully she never got rid of the set, but it was not complete and some pieces were chipped. The set is Crooksville. I thought of it as Pennsyvania Dutch, but I've seen it listed as 'Dairy Maid'.

So, I add whenever I find a new piece.

    sounds great, Menda!
I just bought a Sony DSLR - have a lot to learn about it! I also love animals - I think I have more pics of my own animals and my backyard visitors than I do of my kids!! I have a friend who's offered his deer stand for me to use during the summer to get pics out in nature (the only way I would "shoot" animals is with a camera). I have two lenses (from my film SLR) that fit my new camera, but I'd definitely like to get some other lenses. Thanks for sharing - wishing you all the best in this bc fight!

    I do collect Lighthouses (
I do collect Lighthouses ( of course ) but have recently stopped. These things have a tendency to get out of control.
I also love to oil paint and just entered one in the Lily Oncology On Canvas show. Never had a lesson but it can be very relaxing to just go with what you feel.
