Letting everyone know that the "sleep deprived" EEG, although an ordeal, resulted in "negative for seizure activity". (I stayed awake all night by watching late night game shows, playing video games, and jogging around the den....hope nobody was watching.) Finally something positive! Also, my three month oncology appointment showed my tumor markers were in line, and I am officially on a six month rotation rather than three months. The relief is unbelievable, and I wanted to share. Thanks to everyone who was concerned. Hugs, Judy

Congrads on a good report. Did you have to take any hormone therapy after your chemo?

Thank you both. I am on Tamoxifen for another three years. Started on Femara, but it was so dibalitating (especially in my left hip) that I was taken off of it after five months. Tamoxifen, although side effects are mainly hot flashes, seems to be working. Hope you are doing well. Hugs, Judy

Marcia, every six months is going to be great. We haven't been able to plan any time away from home because of scheduled oncology, neurology, and blood work, so it is going to be nice. We leave Monday for two months at our condo in Ruidoso, NM, and I can't wait to get out of this East Texas heat. I will have my laptop with me, so will keep up with everyone. Glad to be taking a breather. Judy

Did you have to rub your stomach while patting your head, too?
Judy, that is one of the craziest medical tests I've (n)ever heard of, but I'm so glad to hear you got good results, and can relax and enjoy life a little more!

Judy, hope you have a great time away from Texas and enjoy the cooler weather. Thanks for sharing all of your good news with us. Get yourself rested and refreshed and keep posting when you can. I'm still in chemo and have all the radiation to go but I'm so looking forward to maybe taking a little trip to the Ozarks in the fall.

It is so nice to see how many people really do care....makes me proud to be a part of this wonderful site. We plan to enjoy our stay in New Mexico, and will be keeping a close eye on everyone as they complete treatment, tackle another obstacle, and generally enjoy being here to talk about it, as we all pass along the road call survivorship. Hugs, Judy

    Hurray for You, Judy!
So glad to know that the EEG showed no problems, and that everything else is going great too. I had a sleep-deprived EEG nearly 20 years ago, and it was awful. I barely managed to stay awake (this was pre-Internets, of course) and there was no way on earth I could fall asleep with all of those sensors pasted to my head. But I also remember that the clean bill of health was worth the grief.
