    Barcelona and topas restaurants
Loved Barcelona. We had liberty there when I was in the Navy. We'd been at sea for 3 months without a liberty port, so we all were excited. What a beautiful place. There's a huge Plaza that had more pigeons that KFC has chickens. A joke on myself: The state department would always fly out a rep to go on ship's TV and brief the crew as to what was off limits, interesting sights, restaurants and so on. Good stores to shop, that sort of thing.

Well, the said that Barcelona had some excellent topas restaurants. But a bunch of our group misunderstood what he said. They thought he said "topless" restaurants. So sailors being sailors, our group decided to make a topless place our first stop.

Imagine our surprise when we pulled up in a cab to an exceptionally classy restaurant that wasn't topless at all, but one known for its topas offering. We young married guys decided to stay and have a great meal, the bachelors who were out for a good time slumped off down the street, feeling just as foolish as the rest of us.

Loved Spain and Barcelona in particular. So, I hope you and your beau enjoy some excellent topas, just make sure you are going to the right place!
