bleeding (rectal) after 4 months of remmission

Is this "normal?" It is not heavy but regular as rain. some pain assoiated with it. E.R. doc sugggessts visit with my surgeon. Will do this but wonder if anyone can give me their own experience. |

Have you had radiation in your pelvic area? I know that I have a friend whos uncle was radiated for prostate cancer and due to the radiation has blood everyday, and this will be a part of his daily life. Please check with your drs asap. I have been treated for anal cancer and occasionally have blood, not a lot, usually if I have a hard bm. Also I attribute this to fissures and irritation caused by the radiation. Lori

Thanks for your reply so quickly. Mine is not always afterbm sometimes bright red sometimes darker. it also occurs during actvity i.e. walking. sometimes I wonder if it still from weakened sphincter control and is possibly stool leakage/
