Finally!!!

Loss 3 lbs. 0 oz.
Total Weight Loss 11 lbs. 0 oz.
Walked 5 days, 1 hour per day.

I am thrilled that I finally lost more 10 lbs.

I made sure that THIS WEEKEND I had my 3 meals per day (sometimes I only get in 2 meals per day on Saturday and Sunday - not good) and ate more green vegetables (I eat a lot of green vegetables Monday through Friday but screw up on the weekend - too busy - not home)

I also walked both Saturday and Sunday. I am going to see if I can continue to walk on Saturday. Generally when Saturday hits, I have already walked 4 days. This time when Saturday came, I had only walked 3 times. So....I had to walk Saturday and Sunday to get my 5 days in. Maybe, I'll start walking 6 days a week.

Hugs,
Janelle

    Hi Janelle!
I get weighed on Saturday because of my work schedule. I lost 3.2 lbs. in the first week. I started on my own for a week and lost 2 lbs. before joining. So, that's a total of 5.2 lbs. I'm relieved that I can lose weight because one of the side effects of Arimidex is weight gain and I had gained 10 lbs. in 6 months. I was already 20 lbs. more that I should be so I was really worried. Now I see that I was just eating more and moving less.

    Great Roseann
    Roseann,
Great news. Losing 5.2 lbs. is wonderful.

I know your concerns about Arimidex. I started Arimidex on March 18, 2010. I guess if we do Weight Watchers, we stand a good chance of not gaining weight while taking Arimidex. That means for the next five years we cannot afford not to be a Weight Watcher.

    wow
    Good for you!!

Wish I could say I'd lost 11 pounds... I walk an hour plus almost every day and I eat way more vegetables and fruit, lots of fish. But no weight loss. No gain, either. Maybe I need to consider Weight Watchers especially when I begin Arimidex.

Meantime, it's great to read about the two of you, Janelle and Roseann.

I'm glad to see your post. I gained 40 lbs on chemo. I tried WW,but gave up. Maybe I should give it another try. I did not like it. I wanted to go to the hospital program, but my doctor wouldn't give me the referal. But I know that this weight HAS to come off. It's not healthy.

    Hi Janelle
Good for you. You're doing great, slow but sure is best. I managed to gain back 3 of the 10 I lost. You are encouraging.

Why is it so easy to gain but not easy to lose
    Laurissa,

Don't give in. I have been up and down all my life with my weight. Even when I was thin, I felt heavy.

The key is never to give up. I do take recess between the classes of weight loss, but then I am forced to go back when the weight becomes too much.

Don't wait. Knock those 3 lbs. off now.

    Hugs,
    Janelle

It certainly sounds like you are doing everything correctly.
    Dear Victoria,

If you join Weight Watchers, your lecturer could review your menu and help you find out why you are not losing weight. It certainly sounds like you are doing everything correctly, especiallwith the 1 hour walk a day.

Let me know how you are progressing and if you decide to join WW.

    Lots of Hugs,
    Janelle

    Never Give Up
You gain 40 lbs. on chemo. I gained 10 lbs. in 2 days on radiation in December. It has taken me this long to lose those 10 lbs (though I started WW in February). And let me tell you, I have a lot, lot, lot more to lose.

Don't give up. And you are absolutely correct. Being overweight is not healthy for more reasons than one. Good luck to you.

    Lots of Hugs,
    Janelle
