Monday night's weigh in - April 12, 2010

Gained 0.2 ounces
Total Weight Loss: 8 lbs. 8 oz.

Walked 5 days, 1 hour per day

I was doing so great, eating Salmon and lots of green vegetables - showing a weight loss of at least 3 pounds. Then Friday, Saturday and Sunday - did not eat many green vegetables. Ate salad - but apparently that was not enough. Saturday night ordered grilled Trout. When it arrived it looked great. I removed skin. Cut up a little , took a bite, and wondered why it was cold. Opened up the trout only to see that 3/4 of it was still cold and raw. That did it for that night's dinner. Replaced it with eggplant parmesean - best substitute that I could find on the menu.

Oh well, there is always next week. I really need to eat a lot of green vegetables, especially on the weekend. Some weeks I am more successful in eating them than other weeks. It makes no difference how legal I am on those weekend days; the green vegetables are more important to me for the weight loss.

Lots of Hugs,
Janelle

    Yuck, raw fish! I love
Yuck, raw fish! I love eggplant parmesean! They say vegetables of all colors are good for you! I could be a vegetarian if it weren't for my guys like meat. They'd be saying, "Where's the beef?"

    You're still doing good!

As a second thought, remember James Garner? He did steak commercials until he had a heart attack and I didn't see him doing anymore after that.

    Great job, Janelle. You
Great job, Janelle. You have had an excellent overall loss. The good news is that you are certainly eating healthy, so if it takes a little longer, so be it!! I'm proud of you!! Keep up the good work!

    Janelle whats a little
Janelle whats a little parmesan once in a while. You are probably retaining water and will show the loss at your next weigh in. It took a lot longer than 5 or 6 weeks to put on the pounds so please cut yourself some slack. You are way ahead of the weight loss game - I'm applauding your 8 and 8 and you had parmesan too!

I hope at some point to join in this weight loss effort. PleAse keep posting your progress, it is really an inspiration.

    Keep it up, Janelle!
It's inspiring to read your posts each week, even though I don't always write back to you.

Your dedication is impressive, and as long as you're learning what works and what doesn't, it's a good week. The slight gain may have just been a bit of water retention due to the sodium level in the eggplant parmesan, or just a normal fluctuation.

You're doing great - Keep up the good work!

I think your total achievement is great, regardless last week. You really did not gain, it is just a fluctuation. Please keep doing it.
    Good Luck,

    weight watchers
Hi Janelle, like you, i am also a weight watchers member. I was doing good (25 lbs in 1 yr) until last october when i was diagnosed with cancer for the 2nd time. I have been home on disability for the last 6 months and gained 7 lbs, which is not that bad under the circustances.

Hang in there, once you master the plan, the weight will drop off. Also try to confuse your body. Change you work outs and food. I noticed on my "good" weeks where i had a significant wight lost, i ate a lot and hardly worked out. lol But one of my problems, is that i a not a veggie person, which makes it even harder for me to work the plann, but does the plan does work even though it might be slow
