4 Years NED Today

Four years ago today was my resection for Stage 1 colon cancer. I've been fine since I recovered from the surgery. Had my annual physical last week and no sign of cancer anywhere! My next colonoscopy will be in October. My gastro doc says that I'm the poster child for early detection. The threat of recurrence never goes away, but it's getting further behind me every day. One good thing that resulted from having colon cancer is that a friend and I started a cancer support group called Cancer Hope and Healing in January at our church. It's a small group but we're making a difference.

    awesome!
Poster child for early detection for sure! How wonderful it would be if we had all gotten our cancers early! I hope you are dancing and enjoying your freedom! :)

    "Grass Roots"
    Terrific, Joy

Congrats on your 4 year milestone - "recurrance" is in your rear view mirror now, fading away...

Congrats also on your "grass roots" movement with your Cancer group. I'm sure you are making a big difference - it all matters very much.
