I'm feeling much better yesterday and today. The anesthesia and morphine made me very nauseaous. Just like the Exorcist. Other than that the surgery went well. No pain in my breast, just a pulling underarm. No drains were put in. I see doc today to change the dressing and I'll see his artwork. I have energy to do things. If I had to, I could probably go to work today. I'm wondering if all that vomiting brought out some of that chemo too? I hope he got it all out of my breast. He took enough out. Waiting on pathology reports. No appetite loss whatsoever. Sister brought cream of broccoli soup, and ham and swiss sandwich, and a pecan sticky bun from the Bread Co. It was so good. Thanks for prayers. Now I just wish those hair follicles would kick in.

Good news Laurissa!! Other than your nausea, sounds like you are doing great after surgery. Very happy for you. Please let us know what the pathology reoport says. I have a feeling you are going to be dancing and clapping your hands.

I hear you on those hair follicles! I too want my hair back but will have to wait because I have 2 more infusions to go. I'm really happy to hear from you.

So happy to hear that you are on your way to a great recovery. I understand that when the hair follicles kick in, that also means you are back to shaving your legs and underarms. This is what was told me at my Support Group meeting. The women said that was the only drawback to have hair growth. We all laughed.

It's great to have a sister who ended up bringing you jummy food to enjoy.

    Lots of Hugs,
    Janelle

Laurissa, how great to hear from you so soon. Sorry for all the nausea but glad you're getting some energy back. Hope you continue to feel better each day, glad you didn't have drains. You're getting so close, keep hanging in there and we'll be cheering you on to the finish line.
