Hello everyone,

I just wanted to post something and hopefully everyone will feel the same, we have lost so many of our friends on this site in the last six months because of this ugly beast we call esophogeal cancer. Kathy aka Mumphy signed up on this site about the same time, as I did we have become close cyber friends. Kathy has been an inspiration to all of us, she has helped us as much as we have helped her. Al is Kathy's true love she didn't marry until late in life, and AL has been rock, she has been an excellent caregiver to AL as much as we all have been to our loved ones.

We lost Kitten on November 30, 2009, at the age of 24, she was an awesome lady and always lifted our spirits, high. Then there was Wildgoose we lost not too long after Kitten, and Roy lost his battle to this disease, along with Chris's husband, (I cant recall his name), they all fought a hard battle with this disease and never gave up. They are all missed very much. Then I just signed on and found out that Weezie's loved has lost his battle.

I hope I don't step on any toes, but I feel blessed Jeff is still in remission, of course we have been warned that this ugly disease is a progressive disease and can come back at anytime.

There is so many still fighting and doing great, like Erica's dad and Baileys husband, and many more that I cant recall.

I just want to say that we as caregivers, work hard to fight this disease. I just wish that it would be easier to fight. We never know when GOD is going to take our loved one.

Kathy, Erica, Bailey, and all the others my prayers and love are with you and if I can help by just talking or venting please e-mail me.

K-Ann1015 I haven't forgot you but you haven't posted in awhile to know how things are going with your dad.

Its just hard when I sign on here and find bad news about our friends on this site.

God Bless and love you all

Lori aka MOE

couldn't have said it better myself
Lori, I am new to this website but have joined and find the comfort of all of you as we, as caregivers, is it such a hearbreaking job to watch our loved one suffer from this horrible cancer. I feel so bad for all who has lost their battle and wonder when the day will come for me and my daughter as Ed is in stage four with lots of mets and recent pet scan showed chemo did nothing, in fact, cancer grew. I pray everynight that he will not suffer as I pray that all ec patients do not., this cancer, as all cancer, is so hard to deal with, no only for the patient themselves, but for all of us, who care for them, day in/day out and watch the pain on their faces. You couldn't have said it better.
