Hey everyone,
This is KarLee, Kari's daughter. Mom is on her way to a good recovery. Has been outa bed today and walked around in the hallway. Although it's been a little bit of a rough night. Mom was doing really good before she fell asleep and then she wasn't pushing her pain button because she was sleeping, so she fell a little behind on keeping up with her pain again. But she is back in bed now with lots of warm blankets and her two cute teddy bears at her side from her friends. She has a table COMPLETELY FULL of beautiful flowers to help further keep her spirits up. Sorry I didn't post earlier, Mom forgot to tell me that I could post on here, can't blame her :-). Will try to keep up with the posts. As of right now, looks like Sunday will be the discharge day, but I think it will be a little longer after seeing how she reacted to no pain meds for a couple of hours. Thanks for everyone's support and concern. I read some of the comments on here to her and she had a big smile on her face. You all are a wonderful source of great vibs to keep her spirits up and have a wealth of knowledge that has helped to get her through this long, drawn out journey.

    You are a wonderful daughter to be there with your mom.
    Kari--Best wishes and huge gentle hugs for a speedy recovery.
    Take it easy--don't over do it.
    Keep on top of the pain--don't wait until you are in pain to take meds--but you already know that.

    Let the healing begin!
    Until my surgery, all that I could think about was that there was cancer growing in my body. No matter how frightening and difficult the surgery, the cancer has been removed and she can focus on healing and getting her life back.

    Thanks for the update and tell her we are all thinking of her. Thanks for being there for her. There may be some road bumps along the way to getting well but for me the surgery was the biggest one. I'm glad it's behind her.

    I am so happy to hear mom is on her way to recovery!!!! Tell her that her pink sisters are thinking of her. You are a special girl and I am sure having you by mom's side is the best medicine a mom can have. Lots of hugs (soft ones)

    Take good care of mommie and give her my love. My prayers and thoughts have been with her.
    Hopefully the recovery will be faster than they thought and she'll be back on her feet with all of this behind her!

    Very happy to hear your Mom is on her way to recovery. She really had a big surgery! Keep those good drugs going and please keep up the updates. Your Mom will be missed here til she gets back but it's good to know this is over and she doesn't have to worry about this surgery anymore.

    You are a very special daughter... Kari is so fortunate! She will feel better daily and hopefully be able to go home on Valentine's Day where she is so very obviously loved!

    Best wishes for a speedy & full recovery! Tell her to get her energy up quick because she's gotta put her dancing shoes on... she's dancing with NED :))

    So glad you are there with your mom. I am glad you two have each other. There is no bond that is greater. I am also glad to hear that your mom is doing better. Don't forget to take care of yourself, too.

    I hope your mom's recovery
    I hope your mom's recovery goes well, she is blessed to have a daughter like you. She will need your help the next few days, so remember to wait on her! Hope she takes advantage of these days. I did too much the first few days after my surgery and paid for it later, so she does need to take it easy for awhile. Take care

    Thank you so much for updating us on one of our favorite Sweet Sisters!! Please let her know that we are so happy that she came through with flying colors ( :( on the pain tho)
    and that no one is surprised that she has been inundated with flowers!

    You are a grand reflection of your mom; she must be so proud of you!

    Recuperation seems a long way away at first, but it will go faster than your mom thinks, especially with her determination! We're all sending prayers for renewed strength and fast healing!
