Half way

Well last week I had out-patient surgery to get my feeding tube removed. Finally, after nine weeks after surgery. This week I have my third round of chemo and it will put me half-way through chemo treatments. Feeling pretty good and eating as best I can each day. I lost 38 lbs since surgery on 11-20-09 and have stayed at same weight for three weeks now. I now take life one day at a time.

I pray daily for everyone on this board that has EC or has a loved one, friend , or family member involved in any way.

    Hi,
Haven't written to you before but wishing you the best at your halfway point, hope the chemo gets you clean and clear and glad you are eating, just keep it up. I still have my j tube, 8 wks after surgery and will be keeping it till Easter when I finish chemo. Can't seem to gain weight either. Thank you for those daily prayers for all of us here, you are in ours too, so many people, I just ask God to take care of all on the EC board. take care and best of luck to you!!!!

    That's great Duane!
Halfway there! Wow.....you can make it! Just keep marking those days off the calendar. That is what we are doing. We are 1/3 the way to the end of our clean up chemo, and we just mark off days and say...one week down, two weeks down, three weeks down!

    Congratulations Duane! Half
Congratulations Duane! Half way point is a great place to be! Glad you are able to eat more now. Do the best you can with the eating. Small meals all day long. High calorie choices. Taking this one day at a time is the best way to deal with it. Live for the present, look forward to the future. Keep us updated!
