Any childhood survivors now in their twenties/early thirties living in or around Philadelphia?

Hello, I am presently a 31 year old who survived a diagnosis of ALL and Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 1985. For many years I did not identify myself, to myself, as a "survivor" and I rationalized away the impact that my experiences had on my family and personal development. It is ironic that this May I will be graduating with a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology, and I am only now reaching back out to other survivors in hopes if connecting to a group of survivors, around my age, who live in or around Philadelphia.

I think joining the CSN is one small step towards re-integrating and processing what I and my family experienced so many years ago.

I was treated at CHOP and my wonderful Oncologist was Dr. Jean Belasco.

not a childhood surviver but a recent DX in Philadelphia. would love to meet more under 40s in Philadelphia. During chemo I am often sitting next to people in their 70s-80s. Not that that's a bad thing but it's not something I can relate to right now.

Philly Survivor

Hi my name is Marcus and I am 29 years old an live in Philly. I was diagnosed with a rare and deadly cancer called Leiomyosarcoma when I was 27. I know exactly how you feel I used to sit and laugh to myself like man am I the ONLY one in my twenties! Every doctors office I sat in and believe me it has been many I was surrounded by senior citizens! I felt like I should have broken out a huge game of bingo or a case of Ensure! Haha.
