Stage IV lung cancer

My husband was diagnosed in August 2009 with lung cancer. He had biopsy, and they determined that the mass was 10cmx8cmx5cm,and that it had spread to the surrounding lymph nodes, in other words, inoperable. He has had 26 radiation treatments, and 3 (6-hour) chemo sessions. He was to have 3 more chemo sessions, but his doctor stopped those today, due to the side effects, and is now putting him on oral chemo (Tarceva). He will not give us a prognosis at this point, and there are many questions as to how much time he has left. He gets very angry over almost anything, is losing his voice, and can't concentrate or remember anything (chemo brain, I assume). I am at my wit's end most days, but still try to put up a brave front for him. Guess I just had to vent. I know that a lot of you are going through the same thing, or have already done so. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, and God Bless.

    Hello
My sister has been going through the same things that your husband are going through. I couldn't sleep and been praying for her every night.
You and your husband are in my thoughts and I will have him in my prayers.

    Stage IV adenoacinoma
My father was diagnosed with stage IV adenoacinoma which has spread to the brain, on December 18, 2009. He just completed 18 rounds of whole brain radiation for the brain tumors. They are doing a MRI today and plan on starting radiation boosters on Monday, which from what I understand, only hits the tumors. He has had one treatment of chemo for the lungs and will go back on the Jan, 27th for the next chemo treatment. So far his major complaint has been fatigue. He also did develop mouth sores and lose his hair.

My father does feel good, but he gets confused and very irritable. He has also been on steroids so that could be contributing to his irritability.

I just wish everyone on here the best! So many of you have been an inspiration to me! Keep up the fight!
