but I'm a regular on the colon cancer forum. My husband has been treated for colon cancer and is thankfully now free of his cancer. However, now one of our best friends has been diagnosed with bone cancer. Apparently he had a pet scan done a month or six weeks ago.
At that time a spot on his lung, spleen and one on each hip showed up. They were suspicious areas then. Now his femurs have been giving him much pain and he developed a fever-so was hospitalized. They are trying now to find the source of the cancer. My question now to you who have and are experiencing this-is there a preferred treatment course for bone cancer? Since they haven't yet determined the source I would imagine that his cancer would be considered at least stage III and possibly IV. I know very little about bone cancer.

Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated. I've learned from the colon cancer forum family that the best advice is from those who have "been there, done that". Thank you so much. My idea is to head on down to Houston where the sun is shining and the cancer hospital is state of the art.
