Okay, so yesterday (11/18/2009) was Moopy's first "cancerversary." She really didn't want to make a big deal of it because she was also scheduled for 3 CT scans yesterday morning. As we all know too well, scanxiety can take the joy out of just about anything.
But the technician who administered the CT scans was very smiley when she finished, and said she hoped the doctor would call Moopy with some good news before Thanksgiving. Ten minutes ago, the oncologist's nurse just called to say that Moopy's CT scans showed no change... that Moopy is still completely cancer-free! Thank God! And thank you all for your love and advice and support over the last year. It's made all the difference in the world.
I told the Moopster I would be happy to take her anywhere she wanted for dinner tonight - even to Willard's in DC. I suspect we'll wind up at Effing-Panera again. But it's bound to be the most wonderful ham and Swiss I've ever eaten in my entire life!
