Guess I'm still sharing the Moopster with that NED guy...

Okay, so yesterday (11/18/2009) was Moopy's first "cancerversary." She really didn't want to make a big deal of it because she was also scheduled for 3 CT scans yesterday morning. As we all know too well, scanxiety can take the joy out of just about anything.

But the technician who administered the CT scans was very smiley when she finished, and said she hoped the doctor would call Moopy with some good news before Thanksgiving. Ten minutes ago, the oncologist's nurse just called to say that Moopy's CT scans showed no change... that Moopy is still completely cancer-free! Thank God! And thank you all for your love and advice and support over the last year. It's made all the difference in the world.

I told the Moopster I would be happy to take her anywhere she wanted for dinner tonight - even to Willard's in DC. I suspect we'll wind up at Effing-Panera again. But it's bound to be the most wonderful ham and Swiss I've ever eaten in my entire life!

Congratulations on two things....being cancer free, and getting to eat at the place of your choice. I know you both are estatic, and I am going to celebrate with you tonight.     Thanks for updating us on Moopy and your good news!! I am delighted. I have my yearly checkup the 24th..and am hoping for the same good news. If we had to go down such a rough and rocky road I am glad I had a sister like Moopy to do it with. You both have been so much support to me.

    You have one brave and courageous wife and I wish you both the most happy holidays ever. Our hopes and dreams can come true!

    NED~ he is such a generous soul....! I have not eaten at this "effing" place you refer to~
    there is no such animal nearby to Reggie and me. I think I have seen this place in my travels, but it would take 45 minutes to drive there, and I am not that big a fan of ham and cheese sandwiches to justify that! LOL Why is it effing?
    Well, of course that is not the important thing, is it? That Moopy and NED are still going steady is the Big News of the Day!!! And that you are the honored BFF to the two of them is outrageous! ( in a good way, of course) Enjoy the company; smiling is contagious and so good for the soul.

    I am so happy that she has her 1st cacerversary and good catscan results. And I think that it you had to eat dirt today, it would taste like filet mignon as long as Moopy has these good reports.     By the way, Marcia, I hope you did manage to get your your hubby out to dinner. I did not make Aortus take me to E' Panera. Instead of a ham and cheese sandwich, he got ribeye steak tonight.

    Speaking of Mexican food, I love it, and a Margarita would have been great. That outing I'll save for my big sis, who's coming to visit next week. Which reminds me--I gotta go look up RE's chocolate mug recipe. And the thread on recipes, and the newer thread on turkey gravy...

    so glad for you. and getting through this anxious day. Why do men hate panera is it to healthy for them? Not man food? I wish for two things my coffee back and mexican food as far a s the taste buds go. Promise ??????
