Congratulations! What a milestone and a relief! So happy for you!
My Oncologist says it takes as long to get over the s/e as it does to get them or to figure double the time to recover. Hmmm...so does that mean if it only took about 14 days to lose our hair, that it will grow back in 28 days? I've heard of some going ALOT longer, so don't know if that's true for everyone. I'm hoping to see new sprouts soon though!
Hugz,
Cathy

Congratulations on completing chemo. You are well on your way. This is no cake walk but we can get thru it and do it! Let me know when the hair comes back. I just finished my 3rd chemo, have 5 more to go. Hair has been gone for a while, but it is a nice vacation from blow dryers and flat irons.

You are done with one hurtle.
Hair coming back is different for everyone. Mine started to come back a month or so before I finished Taxol.

Margo

My one, only and last taxol was on 10/7. My hair started to come in then my head peeled and it all come out again now it's about 1/16 of an inch now and baby soft. I'm still loosing my eyelashes and eyebrows. I started herceptin on 11/4 and start rads on 11/23.
So glad we're done with the chemo!

Oh, Kathy, I am so happy for you. You made it! It was an especially wretched time, I know, but you did it. My doc told me that 50% of all cancer patients do not complete as much as 85% of the scheduled treatment. You're celebrating 100%!

Don't know about taxol and hair. Mine started growing back during rads.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful news. I lost track of your treatments--seemed like they were going on forever, even to me. All done now!

always good to get the chemo behind us huh? And yes, the first thing on our minds is our hair. Mine started growing back during Taxol, and I had quite a bit by the time I finished rads.
Congrats on finishing and soon, Kat, soon, the hair will come.

You have proven to be a strong warrior! So glad Chemo is now part of your past! I'm sure soon, when your hair comes in, you will look back and it won't have seemed that long waiting on it! Pammy

Your hair will start coming in any time now! You will soon notice newborn baby fuzz and you will catch yourself rubbing your head all day long with a silly grin on your face~ it will then progress to baby chick, then to chia pet, then to finger in light-socket and then FINALLY! a semblance of what your pre-Beast killing chemo hair was like! Whoooooo hoooooo! Congrats on your milestone~ something to be thankful for!

Hugs,
Chen♥

Congrats!! My hair started growing back right away but it takes awhile because it grows about as fast as it did before. You will have hair soon.

A wonderful milestone! Well, I started getting my hair back pretty immediately, but the rate of growth ebs and flows. Don't worry, it will come back!

Congratulations. I now how relieved you feel because I just finished with my chemo three weeks ago and have been on cloud 9 ever since. I do have fuzz coming out. Hope it comes out quick due to cold weather coming in. I wear scarves not a wig. Can't wait to put them up and maybe wear some with outfits for work. Again congrats.

How did I miss this!?! congratulations on finishing chemo, friend.

I finally had real HAIR hair in about 3 months. Having hair back is a fun part of cancer and we definitely need to celebrate the fun.

Huge accomplishment - and certainly NOT easy, in any way.

Please continue to take good care of yourself during rads.

Hair return? Everyone is different. For me, translucent (no color) "peach fuzz" began to appear during the final weeks of rads.

Kind regards, Susan
