Hi all. My hubby had the ultra-sound scope done today to see if the cancer has shrunk. He has already had a PET and CT scan done, but we do not have the results yet of those. The Dr. who did the scope today said that the cancer is 'fried' and thinks that my hubby is ready for surgery. He also said that the cancer doesn't necessarily 'shrink' much, but dies off. He said as for staging goes, my hubby is a stage 2 or early 3. His first diagnosis was stage 3 so I feel it has shrunk a little -- he has been able to eat and no foods are getting stuck anymore. Also, he took some biopsies and the results of that will show if it is for sure dead.
We'll find out on Thursday, the 19th.
Thanks for all the thought and prayers.
I'm praying for you all as well.

Hey Shelly -

We had today's date and the 19th for test results. Glad to hear from you. Looks like we're still on a roll. The "death of God" in the "60s" "was" greatly exaggerated! Those hippies were wrong about a lot of things. God is still alive and well on Planet Earth! Actually they attest to that fact each time they write November 19, 2009. I think this sounds like you've seen the top of the mountain. So we will hold our breath till Thursday. Lately it seems like God likes to ride in on a white horse at the very last minute, just when we think He is too busy!

Keep the Faith Shelly,

Thank you for the comment. Yes, God is still alive and well and in control. We know that whatever comes, it is how God would want it.
That's neat we have the same 'date'. OH but please, don't hold your breath -- I don't want you passing out or anything! LOL! ;)
Sounds like my hubby will have a good Thanksgiving before the 'surgery'. He has been downing ribs lately because he knows it will be a LONG time before he can eat those again.
You guys take care and THANK YOU so much for being her for all of us!

Shelly!!

I am so happy to read your post! I know the feeling of finally getting Good news---! Say a "thank you Lord! prayer", take a deep breath and get ready for the next step (and more prayer)!

Hang in there... we will be here to hear how the 19th goes.

Hi,
Thanks so much for the comment. We have been praying to God and we see everything as a 'blessing' because we know He is the one in control. I hope and pray your father is eating better now and gaining weight for his upcoming surgery.
Take care,
Shelly

So happy for you. I will be thinking and praying for wonderful results from the biopsy. My husband just had his encoscopy done last week after having a PET and CT as well. We too are seeing the doctor this Thursday for results. Stay positive!
