My scar from my breast removal got real real and had fever in it. Got back into the doc. they did ultrasound on the left side notice 2 spots. They did a biospy one came back neg. & the other came back postive. Had a petscan today will wait for the result on Mon. Keep good thoughts.

I am sorry to hear you have something new to deal with. It is great that you got back to the doctor quickly. I know Monday seems like a long way off, but know that good thoughts and prayers will coming your way continually. I hope you have a restful weekend and get good results on Monday. Update

Went to see the surgeon and he would like for me to go see a plastic surgeon he might have to do skin graf. Because of haveing Radiation done on that side. It is cancer back in the scar and he is going to clean things up and make it right. See the plastice surgeon on Dec 3rd. To see what he has to say about things. This was not what I wanted to do during Christmas but it has got to be done. Happy Holidays to all. Will keep udating. Thanks to everyone.

I had that a year after treatment, local recurrence I had radiation then rescanning and was ok after until this new primary. your pet ok?

Went to see the plastic surgeon and he said that he either do a skin graf or move some muscle. But will not know what kind until they get into surgery. But that date has not been set up yet. He said possible be off from work 3-6 weeks. I told hime that i hope it was soon cause of the nagging pain on the left side. Hopefully the surgeon will call this week with a date. Thanks everyone.

update

Hello everyone the surgery date has been set it is Dec 29th It will be about 3 hours long or longer that is what the doctor said Wed. I am just glad that it coming real soon. The plastic surgeon still does not know what he will do until the surgery he will either do a skin graf or muscle move from the back. Will try to keep everyone updated when i can.

confused

I am do to have surgery this coming Tues on the left side to get the cancer again there. I have asked both doctor what they thought about removing the right breast since I have had cancer in it 5 yrs ago. I know the doctor will be watching me like a hawk for a long time. They agree with me that it would be a good thing to do. It sound like I am having cold feet about this. But I am confused what does everyone think.

Please help me with this.

I would just do it...

If the doctor says it's a good idea then I would say take it all. That will give you less to worry about in the future. If you don't you'll be worried every single day of your life. (at least I would be)

BUT, everyone must live with their own decision.

I would like to say thank you for your info. I guess you can say that that i am getting cold feet. My sister think I am doing the wrong thing. But I know it is the right thing to do cause of the worry about when it would come back.

My 2 cents

After finding my breast cancer in my right side, I decided to have both breasts removed. My family history is very strong for BC and I just didn't want to have to worry about it. I'm not having reconstruction done so I'm just dealing with the resulting scars. But the scars are minor. I wanted to be done with it all at once.

God bless you in your own decision making because when it comes right down to it, it's each of us to has to make that decision and who has to live with it when it's done.

I to have decided not to have reconstruction cause I did not want to go through having that done. I just want 2010 to be as normal as it can be. Thanks for all of the support.
