Hi everyone, haven't updated in a while so thought I would check in.

I just received my third doxil infusion last week, and also had a CA125 taken. Yesterday I went in to get some more cream for my mild rash, and the results of my CA125. It was down again. So, it is too soon to celebrate, but doctor says it seems to be working for me.
I have mild skin itch on my lower legs that goes away with mild steroid cream, and hands and feet get red if I do too much. My problem is that I feel so good, that I tend to overdue.

So thankful today for life and energy to live!!

Hugs all around,
Kathleen:)

So glad the Doxil is working for you and your Ca 125 is comming down. I'm praying you have great results with Doxil, it seems to work for alot of women.. Try ice packs during infusion on your hands and feet. It helped me.
Hugs and Prayers,
Terry

I have ice packs wrapped around ankles, wrists, on neck and also hand onto some gel packs. I also use them for the first few days when I get red hands or feet. This last cycle was actually the first tim a got a bit of a rash. I'm hoping and praying it won't get any worse and I can tolerate it for a few more cycles.
How are you doing, Terry?

Kathleen,

That's great news. I am on Doxil and Avastin and got my first CT Scan results and the tumors have decreased overall by 19%....this must be the magic chemo. My hands are red also. Sort of feels like I rubbed my palms with sandpaper. I'm going to put an icepack in a sock and place in my palms that next treatment. Do you have a runny nose? Thought it was allegies, but my dr. said that it's a side effect.

Hang in there....it's working.

Holding you up in my prayers.

Debbie

Dearest Kathleen, I have tears in my eyes, tears of joy and answered prayers. What awesome news and already working by only the 3rd dosage. Usually doxil takes a bit longer before you see results. ♥prayers♥hugs♥joy♥

Kathleen, I am so amazed at your response to the doxil. That really adds to my hope on more stuff in the medicine chest for the future. And to feel good is an added blessing!!! I am feeling good to on just the carbo. I think the doxil + carbo was what gave the trouble. Maybe I will just stick to one at a time for awhile. We'll just keep on keeping on as long as the CA125 is responding, won't we?
In Christ, Saundra

Thanks for all the encouragement girls!

Bonnie, my CA125 has gone down by almost 100 points. It never went up, although going up and finally coming down seems to be a doxil trait. I will get my 4th doxil on December 3rd.

Hope the avastin/doxil combo is good for you. I wish I could get the avastin here in Japan. I hasn't been approved for OVCA yet. Still keeping my fingers crossed.

hugs,
Kathleen:)

Hi Bonnie, thanks for your update and checking in. Glad that the doxil is working for you. Awesome drop in CA125!

I just got my CA125 from December 4th which would have been after a full 3 cycles. It dropped the first two cycles and then stayed the same for cycle three. I was disappointed but am always hearing how doxil is slow to work. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this kind of pattern.

How long are they projecting you will be on Doxil? If you mentioned it in a previous post I apologize for missing it.
