hi guys thanks for replying. I started complaining to pcp and she thought could be ankloying sponditis (sp?). so she ordered an ex ray and a special blood test. The x ray showed inflamation around the illac joints no tumors (radio. called it something else dnt hv paper in front of me)and the blood work came back neg. Which is good i was told that i dnt wnt to hv genetic RA. But that still leaves me with my bottom half stiff I cnt swivil my hips to dance or hula hoop(lol). The xray for the lump on my shoulder didnt even show anything. But at least that doesnt bother me . So I quess I'll just have to get use to the pain and stiffness when I get up I have to walk with my upper body forward for a long time. I'm only 40! Oh well you guys are going though a lot worse. I keep you guys in my prayers.

Is it bone cancer or breast cancer gone to the bone? That's what I have. What treatment are you getting?

I also had breast cancer 5 yrs ago. I refused radiation. My Md/Alternative Doc had me on hormones. I have been complaining of rib pain for over a yr. and then about 3 mos. ago, I started having pain in my tail bone and then spread to my hips and hurt when I walked. I too was going to the chiro and then acupuncture but nothing was helping. I finally asked my Doc if it could be bone cancer. Long story short after many tests yes I do have breast cancer in the bones of my pelvis ribs, and other places. They started me on Zometa and Arimidex.
I am also juicing veggies and wheat grass and eating organically. I also believe in prayer and meditation. They want me to have radiaition on one area have not made that decision yet.

Please be careful and keep up with the Zometa. I have always had very very good teeth. After I was on the Zometa for 2 1/2 years I was having a filling and My gum got infected. The next thing I knew my jawbone died and I had to have three teeth removed plus the part of the jaw that was dead. I had to have massive amounts of antibiotics and special mouth rinses. Before I had the surgery the jaw bone was exposed. I themn had to have 30 hyperbaric oxygen theraphies before the surgery and 10 after the surgery. I can not do anything to replace the teeths. No implants or anything that would irritate the gum or a bridge that might rub it. My teeth are in excellant shape but know the other side of the mouth is getting irritated and I have had no treatment. There is no protocal for side affects of this drug. Duke is doing a clinical trial now but that did not help me or others. Be sure and talk it over with you oncologist and stay with your dentist. This drug is bad news. the good news is that my oncologist and his father have been practicing for many years and I was only their 4th patient to ever get this. Most of the time the jaw necrosis comes from radiation. But not for me. I wonder if anyone else has had this problem

Hi there,
Just trying to find some people that are going through the same thing I am. Actually, I have been going through the stage 4 bone mets for 6 years and had a mastectomy 5 years prior with reconstruction.
Hope to catch up with you soon.
Sincerely,
Patty

dont freak out yet.there are treatments..... personal story... I was 27 and fell and broke my hip. the dr.told my mom and husband that there had to be a reason. after physical therapy that didn't exactly help. I has to go back to the dr. he found a shadow on my hip bone. at the time it didn't look like much but 3 months later I found myself in the e.r. my bone had basically disappeareed.I got a referal to vanderbilt orthapedic oncology. no doubt by now i was really freaking out. i work in nursing so i knew it was bad. i got in there and the dr scheduled me for a complete hip replacement.i actually lost 1 cm above my hipjoint, my hip joint, and 3/4 of my femor bone. exactly 3 months later i went back to work as a certified nursing assistant.so what i'm saying is thats it's ok to be streesed out but don't give up. there are treatments. you mom may even have to do radiation treatment or chemo but be strong for her. i don't know how i would have survived without my kids and husband being there and staying strong for me. here it is, 5 years later. i still go to yearly appointments and i've started going to a pain clinic cause of all the nerve damage. anyway i hope this helps you and your mom.good luck and God Bless...

Tell me about it. My doctor is telling me to go to physical therapy. With a lump in my testicle on my pelvis bone and on my right hip. Plus I still have a chemo port from my unknown previous cancer treatment. At a children’s hospital when I was 20 which I was mistaken for 9 years old plus a realy long helicopter ride.! So I do not wish to explain to the doctor on how this happened either. So I am just going along with the lump and not the port. So I am lost on what to do should I go to the physical theropy or find another doctor?
