Please Say A Prayer For Me ♥ Update on Bone Scan Date

Hi my friends! I haven't said anything until now because I wasn't for sure what might be going on and because I was just plain scared. I have had a lot of pain, especially in my back for several weeks now. I didn't know if I had just worked too hard in my flower gardens or what. But, in the back of my mind, after having bc twice now, I was fearful that the cancer might be back for a 3rd time as bone cancer. So, I saw my rads oncologist today and finally told him. He has ordered a bone scan. I don't know how soon, as his office will call me tomorrow with the time and date. He says for me to not worry, that he feels it is something else, but, he just wants to be sure. So, if you could say a prayer for me until I know, I would appreciate it. You see, I am scared....

Love, Jeanne ♥

    will do!
I'm so sorry, Jeanne. I've just come off a scare myself, and know how awful it can be ... waiting, waiting, waiting. I will pray for you, for peace to guard your heart and your mind, for comfort and strength in the waiting.

much love and a big [hug]!

You will definitely be in my prayers, I hope your bone scan comes back clean. I have mets to my spine and have been getting zometa intravenously , it is stable now. I was having a lot of neck pain, and of course i feared the worst (cancer), but my cat scan showed arthritis of my neck. Now, I take an Aleve every morning and I feel fine. I guess i would have been upset if I did not have Cancer and i found out that I have arthritis of my neck, but now I am relieved! So goes our life. So, listen to your doctor, and try not to worry too much. Take care

I will be praying for you Jeanne! I am sorry that you have to even go thru this. It is good that your oncologist is being cautious.

Moopy and I will be praying for you, Jeanne
Moopster just went through one of those "just checking things out" situations last month. Two masses showed up, one in the chest and one on the pancreas. Oncologist was sure it wasn't cancer, but we all wanted to make absolutely sure. This too will pass quickly... we're both hoping and praying that it passes as quickly as possible!

    Dear Jeanne-

The following bible verse was always very comforting for me.

    For God hath not given us the spirit of fear;
but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

    2 Timothy 1:7

You will be in my prayers, dear sister.

    From the heart, Kat

P.S. My husband and I have learned to put everything in God's hands. This is a very comforting feeling, Jeanne. .

No lecture intended, but why did you wait so long to tell us or the doc this?! You know we are all here for you No Matter What! Your fears are quite understandable! Hearing you have BC once is enough within itself, but twice! Easy for the doc to say don't worry! Will most certainly pray for you and that it will just be something from your gardening. In the meantime, take it slow & easy!

    You got my prayers~friend
We are extra sensitive to the messages our bodies send us, those of us who have fought this disease. My prayers are for you to be "anxious for nothing" and that the peace of God which our human minds don't always grasp~will guard your mind and your heart~sweet Jeanne.

    Hi Jeanne,

As a newcomer here I can't pretend to imagine what you have been through. I know already in the short time that worrying is of no value. I am not one to ask for support or tell anyone anything until I know. I am learning that sharing is part of the strength and healing. My prayers will be with you and everyone here often. From all the love and support I have seen here...your name has been lifted high and often. Rest in his peace.

    I understand.
    Jeanne,

As I write, tears are running down my face. Does this ever end for those of us dealing with BC. The ups and downs, the fear, the adjusting to new meds are very challenging. No matter what happens you will be fine. My goal in these situations is to expect the best but prepare for the worst. In this case, even if it is your worst fear there are treatments. I just read about a breakthrough in breast cancer which should lead to more targeted treatment and better results for breast cancer survivors like us. Who knows, may see a cure in our lifetimes!

I will pray for you, over and over.

I just finished praying that the testing will be soon, that it is nothing serious, and that the Lord will give you comfort and peace as you wait.
