I have stood back and regrouped for a few weeks. Today I start fighting again with an arsenal of new drugs and lots of support. Lets go get those bad cells. I think I know where several are hiding and I want to start there.

Theres nothing a soldier with dry socks and a serving of warm chow can't do if they put their full self into it. My socks are dry and I ate my Bran Flakes, time to muster some courage and get after this thing.

    Mike.......
We have been there before so we know what we're up against. I understand that you are getting the head ready so the body will follow. Great battle plans...You will succeed in winning this war, simply just a few more battles to fight...It is very reassuring to know that you have geared up for the 2nd journey, and we'll be right here with you..Let us know whatever your needs are, we're always home......Now, time to do battle........Clift

    Hey, I'm Right Behind You...
    Hey Mike

Reinforcements are on the way...I'm being called back into the Battle myself next Thursday on the 15th...thoracotomy with wedge resection being done by the DaVinci surgical system.

So, I'll lead my division of troops up from the South and you and I will converge at the pre-appointed landing site - and then we'll lead our Army of Cancer fighters straight into the Jaws of the Dragon.

I'm just a few days behind you...I'm getting my mind right to fight and I'll eat something and then we'll both go kick some **** - how's that for a battle plan?

My thoughts are with you, brother

    Drugs
I am on FOlfiri and cetuximab. Had the genetic test and I am KRAS wild type, so cetuximab is an option.

Don't forget to take care of your feet
You taught me the value of a good foot care plan, that Xeloda I was on about ate my feet up, thus "dry socks" good luck next week, I hope to have a toe hold on this assault by then.

    Mike,

So good to see you have your fighting spirit. We are a week or two behind you trying to find our fighting spirit. **** started Folfori and Avastin yesterday. Hooked up and will unhook tomorrow. Harder this time through but know it is going to be worth it.

    Go Mike!

    Aloha,

    Update
Socks still dry, stepped into a (vomitting) fire fight last night. My infusion nurse said once nausea is a sign of killing cancer, if so, It was like "Apocalyse Now" It may be a longer slog but the stakes are high and my morale is high and rising.
