Rete Testis Invasion ='s Radiation Treatment?

Stage I Testicular Cancer.. I went to see a Radiation Oncologist about possible treatment for my Stage I Testicular Cancer. He strongly suggests radiation treatments due to the fact that my tumor extended into the rete testis. He says this is a possible high risk factor for relapse. He provided me with a study out of Europe to show me why he was suggesting radiation treatment. Any Suggestons? Comments? Questions? That may help me in deciding my course of treatment? |

Dear Matt-
I'm kinda in the same boat. But my radiologist gave me the choice of radiation or chemo. I'm going ahead with the radiation for now, but I would suggest talking to a medical oncoligst and see what they have to say. Thats what I'm doing, and so I may yet have to have chemo as well, but if it knocks the cancer out of me it will be worth it. Good luck on your treatments and remember you are not alone. -Joe-
