Why can I edit my post sometimes and sometimes I can't?

Sometimes I can go back and edit what I wrote, even sometimes the next day. But other times, it won't let me edit what I wrote and it might only be a couple of hours since I wrote the post. Does this happen to anyone else? Am I doing something wrong? Is there a trick to always being able to edit what you write that I don't know of? Thanks!

    It happens to me too. I don't know why. I thought it had something to do with the amount of postings after that one but haven't really taken the time to test that theory.

    I am so happy that I am not the only recipient of going back to edit and not being able to! As with everything else computer/this site related...who knows?! I have decided that it is making me a deeper thinker, and a better speller and typist. Just in case I can't go back and edit my thoughts and mis-spellings, I am hoping to get it right the first time!

    It is sooo humiliating to look at my post and see I have spelled my own name CA-LU-DIA or some other name not exactly my own. As if the cancer wasn't humbling enough, I am brought down yet another peg by not even getting my name right. Shame, shame, shame.... :-( LOL

    When you err.....just add "sorry, thought I would be ME today since everybody else was taken. So you get the mistakes and all!"

    you can always edit your post until someone replies. Then the edit option is gone.

    Sometimes I can too and sometimes I can't. And, it doesn't matter if someone else even posts after me. So, I don't know what the secret is. GRETAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

    OMG~~~~ My Annette! Thanks so much~ just looking at her makes me long for that simpler time!
    But, I will say that BC treatment and survival rates are WAY better now, so I will act like Annette, think like Pollyanna, have Tinkerbelle's spunk and be thankful I am living NOW!

    But you made me really, really smile by having her picture...awwwwwww

    You can edit until someone replies to your post. There can be more posts after yours, but as long as they didn't specifically hit reply on your post, you can still edit. I guess this makes sense. It might get confusing if you substantially edited something that someone previosly replied to: the reply would either not make sense or be misinterpreted. I make some pretty big mistakes, too, but I usually edit right away because I am vain....
