Hi everyone,

Al has his weekly appt. tomarrow Wed. Just feeling alittle antsy. I really can't wait, but he gets the same chemo as Kitten & Erika's dad. We have had such a difficult time with these treatments already & I'm afraid that he may have even more trouble with each treatment.

On the other hand he needs the treatments to get to the good part which is the surgery. I pray that he only does need 2 more treatments. I'm not even sure if his labs will be good enough for him to get his chemo tomarrow. He looks good & has been eating great! I actually think that the tumor is shrinking because he hasn't had alot of trouble swollowing his food lately.

I'm just alittle afraid thanks for listening and letting me vent. Some extra prayers wouldn't hurt either!!

Thanks & God Bless
Kathy

Kathy,
Extra prayers coming your way. I hope Al is well enough to get his chemo tomorrow. Waiting is the worse....we're always a little on edge before our dr appts. Glad to hear he is eating...so important to keep your strength up...especially if you are going to have surgery.
Take care and God Bless you and Al.

You know you have to think positive Kath, I hope he gets his treatment too, if his levels are up, maybe he will, I will say a special prayer while at work. I cant wait till you shout on the mountain top that we are scheduled for surgery like i did when we were cancer free.

extra prayers tonight.

Kathy,

I will be thinking of you tomorrow!!! You are getting close to the end, there's a light at the end of the tunnel!! :0) It's great that he's eating well, super great to keep up his strength. Has he had trouble with stomach cramping? If so, what pain meds does he use?

Thanks!

Cathy

Kathy and Al

All my very best for positive outcomes with the next visit. I secretly hide my apprehension for each and every one of mine but my mind is at maximum speed. I do take close notes and ask all manner of questions, including lifestyle.

I have news of mine and will post separately, with a candid question for my new friends here on this board.

May our God smile greatly on you and Al. I wish you success.

Hi EVERYONE,
I HAVE GREAT NEWS!!!!!WHEN WE GOT TO SEE THE DR. HE SAID THAT HE DID NOT THINK HE WANTED TO TO CHEMO TODAY & THAT SCARED THE CRAP OUT OF ME. THEN HE SAID I WANT TO DO A PET SCAN BECAUSE I THINK THAT HE IS READY FOR SURGERY WITH OUT HAVING THE 2 MORE TREATMENTS!!!

THEY WILL BE CALLING ME WITH THE PET SCAN DATE AND THE APPT FOR THE POW-WOW WITH DR. LUKETICH NEXT WEEK AND IF ALL GOES WELL WE WILL BE HAVING THE PRE TESTING & SURGERY WILL BE SCHEDULED. IF THE PET SCAN IS NOT SO GOOD THEN WE WILL NEED ALITTLE MORE CHEMO, BUT BY THE WAY IT SOUNDS I DON'T THINK THAT WILL BE THE CASE.

I WILL KEEP YOU ALL POSTED AS THINGS HAPPEN!!! THANKS FOR ALL THE EXTRA PRAYERS AND WELL WISHES THEY REALLY HELP.

NOW I'M READY FOR ROUND 2, AND MOE'S SHOES, OR SHOULD I SAY WILLIAMS SINCE AL WILL BE HAVING THE MINIMAL INVASIVE SURGERY BY THE SAME DR. AS WILLIAM HAD.

MAY GOD BLESS & KEEP YOU ALL.

Kathy,

I am so happy for you see I told you to think positive that means the chemo is working and doing its job, yes you are standing on the mountain shouting its time its time, i need to rent MOES SHOES al is going to surgery, but pull out your BIG GIRL PANTIES as you will need those too. I am sure you have a pair somewhere!!! The surgery AL is going to having is going to be much easier than the surgery Jeff had, but you still have to have those possibilities of things could go this way or that, its just not as extensive, I know william will be glad to hear this, and he will keep your spirits up he did me. I can hardly wait for him to have the surgery and probably no more than you are. You know I am here if you have any kind of quesitons, just tell him to continue eating and get stronger, and you have to stay strong too. Please know you lifestyle will change though, and its not an easy road. If you forget some of my problems just go back to all my post so it will refresh your memory.

Keep me posted

HUGS!!!
