They finally got sick enough of seeing my face to kick me out of that place. They sent me home with enough blood thinners to kill a whole field full of rats. Even the corn fed ones. I have to give myself shots for five days and be on warfarin for a month. If I get so much as a paper cut I am screwed. I`ve got to go - I am suddenly feeling light headed.

Eric,

Glad to hear you "Got Sprung". Be careful now of anything sharp-blood thinners have good and bad points. Hope you get rid of the light headedness (is that a word) and get your strength back soon. Will be praying for you.

God Bless You,

Debbie (gramma)

Welcome home, Eric! Doesn't it feel good to sleep in your own bed and not be disturbed every few hours by the nurses and techs?? Take care of yourself...be blessed!

Hi Eric,

Glad to hear you are home. It's so hard to be comfortable and get any rest in a hospital. Take care of yourself and be careful.

Be well,
Donna

Hey Eric,

So glad to hear you're out of the hospital! They had enough of you and kicked you out! Yeah, those shots are fun. Your belly will look like someone beat the stuffing out of you, it'll get so bruised. BUT! You're doing better and that's the whole point. When you are done with your warfarin you can start an exterminating business with the leftovers! Yep, be careful about those cuts and dings. You don't want to look like one of those victims in a 70's karate flick with blood spurting in a colorful fountain... Take care of yourself!

Hugs,
Kirsten

Of yourself, we dont want to hear you having to go back to the hospital. Maybe I missed something but why so many blood thinners, did you have a clot somewhere? Please take care of yourself and take it easy. Get lots of rest.

God Bless
Beth

go through what you are currently going through. During my last surgery to reconnect my colon, I developed a small blood clot in my right lung, so while recovering in ICU they started me on Lovenox (sp) shots twice daily in the tummy. Once sprung from the hospital, I continued on the shots, completed them, and started taking the Warfarin once daily. I started in Feb 07 and completed in Feb 08.

The doctors will need to keep an eye on your blood levels to make sure you are in the so called range for taking thinners. You also have to watch your intake of Vit K foods cause that will stop the effect of the thinners. Also be careful with activities, cause you can bleed easily.

Eric,
Glad you got out, I honestly don't know how anybody gets better in a hospital. They seem to know just when you have finally gotten some sleep and need to wake you up for vitals or some other pleasant experience. I hope you have a speedy recovery at home.
