I would like to thank every one here for all your words of support and prayers. On August 19,2009 my husband Sean lost his battle with cancer. He was able to come home from the hospital night before last and pass away in our bed this evening. Again thank you one and all.

    I am so very sorry for your loss. I cannot even imagine how lonely and sad you must be at this moment. Please know that I am holding you and yours in my heart. I will pray for your healing. We will all be here for you should you need some comfort.

    Sonya, words can do next to nothing at this time.

    Your need for support, I can say, did not pass along with Sean. In some ways it may be increased over the days, weeks, and months to come. There continue to be a number of 'surviving caregivers' on this site, along with the folks you thanked, who will certainly be available for you if you feel the need.

    Again, my condolensces at this very sad time,

    I don't have the words to say to you. I am so incredibly sorry for your lost. I know what a loving person you were and how hard you fought this battle alongside Sean. It's one of the worse days any one us can imagine having to go through as a caregiver. Your strength inspired me as we both were dealing with husbands with unusual cancers.

    Hang in there, and cherish those memories you have of Sean.

    I sincerely wish you an immeasurable abundance of God's grace in the coming days and weeks. You know in your heart that you will eventually heal to the point of being able to focus on the happy, positive times you shared with your honey. But, in the meantime, please continue to come here and let us do our humble best to help you reach that goal.

    I am so sorry to hear of your loss.
    I am happy to hear that he was able to be home in familiar surroundings when he passed.
    I can only wish that for my own mother-in-law with cancer.

    Hello Sonya: I read your messages from the past and my hearrt aches for you so much so that I wrote this poem and I hope it gives you some comfort.

    I will not say good bye to you
    For you will never leave.
    I'll miss not being with you
    And for that I'll surely grieve.

    You fought your battle bravely
    I am so proud of you
    I tried to keep you happy
    And my love for you just grew.

    God only knows the reasons
    Why he took you home that night

I know that you loved Sean very, very much and took very good care of him from your posts here and on the CRC board. Please try to take care of yourself during this very sad and difficult time. Let us all know how you are doing.
