Well Jack is back in the hospital I feel we are going backwards, We were waiting to start a Trial study and his WBC came back elevated, so they did blood cultures and we got a call today to go straight to the hospital, he has a bacterail infection, and his port is infected, I have been telling the doctors for weeks that he has been spiking fevers and they kept brushing it off, We got to the hospital and his temp was 98.7 but within 3 hours it spiked to 103, and another thing I kept telling the doctors his port was bothering him I feel we are going backward , no we can not start no treatment until we get the infection gone, just hope the cancer does not spread before we get that chance, So I can home for a couple of hours to check on the dog and get a couple hours of sleep , I don't know who im fooling Im not going to be able to rest,

Please keep Jack in your prayers

Keep strong. It sounds like you are right on top of your husband's needs. Keep fighting for him--you'll both be in my prayers.

Went through something similar when my husband's biopsy site became infected. He was also hospitalized. This is so difficult, you feel like the bad times will never end. We are finally in a better stage right now. Will keep you and your husband in my prayers. Hang in there.

That's a virtual hug. No real advice for you but I am going through a hospital stay with my mother-in-law and it is real nerve-wracking.
Sleep? Ha, what's that?
Ok, I slept...but just a couple hours. It would be really good if you can recruit any other person - an old friend or another family member to swap out some hours of hospital time with your husband.
I did get a little work done in the morning before I came to the hospital and relieved my husband of bedside duty. I hope he gets some sleep.
