Good News!

My husband talked to the nurse practitioner today... the lymph node tissue was benign, no cancer found. PTL, it is good news! As is seems with every test these days, they have to leave you with a little worry. I guess to protect themselves. The pathologist recommended a repeat biopsy with more generous tissue sampling. So, I celebrate now for the present test results and hold some anxiety that they think the biopsy needs to be repeated. Will there ever be a time when we can breath a sigh of relief and feel secure? For now, I am going to dance with NED and believe the current results!

I have been holding my breath for you! I think it's a good thing that they are being very cautious - but it would seem that you are indeed dancing with NED! YAY!!!

deanna- You've made my day. Get used to this- I think the history of our cancer is always a part of our life. Nothing will ever be the same, but life without the constant stress and worry does come to you. It gets easier for me all the time .

Gee, I really need to replace my photo. So many of you have such lovely flowers in the background and I'm still bundled in layers of Winter. My garden is just beautiful now. Has anyone else noticed that a lot of us are gardeners?

I have a job were I have my summers off and today was my first day back to work. I had to check this site first thing this morning to see if you had posted. I couldn't wait until I got home. I am so glad that you are dancing with NED. What great news! I am also happy that you had a relaxing vacation. I wish you continued good health. I am praying that your next biopsy will also show benign node tissue.

This site is so amazing! It is wonderful to have such a supportive group to share the ups and downs with. I will have the repeat biopsy on Thursday, but I am cautiously optimistic about this one. My doctor seemed to also be cautiously optimistic and just wants to be very careful. Thanks again to all of you for the moral support and prayers. Praising the Lord today and always!!!
Love and hugs to all of you. We are survivors...all of us!

We are all thrilled for Deanna, really thrilled, but what do you mean yours does not seem to be going away??

It's hard for me to figure out where people came in here and where they talk about what's going on with them.

Would mind just giving me an update on your comment.

Thanks a heap,

And love to you

I've been checking back to see your news, hoping it would be this. Keep the faith. I am just starting chemo next Thurs and beginning this journey. Trying to keep positive as all of you wonderful people have showed me, that it is possible! Kathy

I had the repeat biopsy this past Thursday. There were 2 lymph nodes that "lit up" on the scan. I guess that means that there is greater metabolic activity in that area. These nodes are in the upper part of my abdomen on the right side. They stuck the needle in just below my ribcage on the right side, but the soreness has been in my back. Under the rib cage on the right side. I hope to get results this week, but the last one took almost 3 weeks for the results to come in. I am trying to let go and let God! Staying busy, so I don't worry.
I too love to garden... have used various bug powders, fertilizers, etc. over the years. This year had been kind of a bust on my gardening. I just have not been able to keep up with it and all the other summer activities going on. LOL.

peace and love,
Deanna
