hello,

My wife has been diagnosed with Breast Cancer and she'll be starting chemotherapy this Monday. Just looking for support as she goes through this. She'll get a lot form me, but I have little to run to or to talk.

Marion,

Everyone on this board has either been a cancer patient, a caregiver, or both. We can be your sounding board, your resource center, or your shoulder to lean on. We are here to listen to you and share our own experiences. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife.

Love and Courage!

Rick

I am a caregiver as well and semi new to this board. I can honestly tell you that everyone here is just wonderful. I have no one close who "gets it" in my life. Friends are terrified of the word cancer and sometimes I feel like they distance themselves from me unless I am "happy and positive". Well, when a loved one gets this terrible disease the whole family gets it...so being up beat all the time is impossible. Especially when the caregiver is unable to leave their loved one alone and must be with them 24 hrs a day. That's when this board and all the people here have saved me in ways I can never repay except to perhaps spread the wisdom I have learned from them.

Hang in there and anytime at all you need someone to talk to whether it be for advice or just a shoulder to cry on....we are all here for you.
