I posted my "JUST DIAGNOSED" a few days ago and received lots of good advise and great suppport from all of you.

Today I met with my Doctors at Robert Wood Johson and scheduled surgery for next Tuesday June 30, 2009. I AM GOING FOR IT. My family was asking me to postpone it for a week but I insisted on NOW!. Dr. Langenfeld gave me the right to decide and so it is for a week from today. I am very nervous as I have learned so much about this "C". However, I know that I have no options if I want to live "I DO WANT TO LIVE". My stage is stage 2, however I do have some lymph node problems so he is going after that also. I just hope they let my wife stay at the hospital for that night at lest so that I can see a familiar face when I come out of it. I want you all to know that the most important thing you need is to have faith in your doctor , yourself and our lord. I will keep you posted on my new experience.

THANKS TO YOU ALL.

Doncarlos

I will pray that your surgery goes well and things will look brighter for you afterwards. My husband has just been diagnosed with lung cancer as well. The internist said stage 2 to 3. We are meeting with the oncologist next Tuesday. This is a nasty disease and we can only hope and pray.

    Surgery scheduled
I tried to see the oncologist after my PET-SCAN and they told me that I had to see the Thoracic doctor first. I accepted surgery after the Thoracic Doctor told me that I had to have it. After that I may have to go to the Oncologyst. Tell your husband to take it easy as he goes It took me three weeks after diagnosed, to get to this point and it was all very hard on me and my family, so I asked my oldest daughter to help and she is handling every detail of it. After Surgery is another issue. I am not an easy person for these things. I am pain tolerant but I cannot stand the "TAKE IT EASY PART" If I am not on the move I feel like I am strapped. I cannot wait for people to do things for me and this is the only part I
cannot think about without getting upset. I guess its time to learn to adapt to a new life.

Good Luck to you and your husband.
