4 more days until more chemo and more erbitux. I might as well scrub my face with a wire brush and drink gasoline. I am so looking forward to it. Ain`t no party like a chemo party!

    Chemo Party
    is one party that we would all like to skip! I can't think of much that is as bad as chemo except NOT doing chemo. Unfortunately it's the only thing out there right now to help us fight this awful disease. Hang in there Eric,my thoughts are with you! :-0

    ...I just got unhooked today, so for the next few days I'll be off in zombieland, and I should be back to myself by Tuesday, which I will have another week before another chemo...every other week, once you start feeling better, you go again to get zapped out..wooohooo! partayyyy!!!!

    I get my next round (2nd) on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. It's reassuring to know that there are others experiencing chemo along with you. I guess that is how I feel. I know there are people on this board that are going through what we are going through. It's good to have people to talk to.

    I'm joining your chemo party - party hardy and let's get this party started (and finished).

    I love how just when you start feeling normal you get zapped again. I feel good today and hopefully will until Wed. when I get zapped and then have to carry my little friend around with me for 2 days(f5) I am always so glad to get rid of that thing. I feel my worst the day after they take it off. Erbitux has me looking like I ate nuclear waste.
    Phil - I am not going to do anything drastic, I was just trying to make a joke out of it.
    What else can you do?

    Eric, I was attempting to be funny too.
    Don't do anything rash.
    The good old Erbitux rash.
    I've been at it for 3+ years. The stuff works (for me) and the side effects for the most part, lessen. It's still not a party. I get fingertips splitting where I've actually have crazy glued them shut again so I can play my guitar.
    Do you take it with CPT11 (irroctican)? That stuff is worse for how it makes me feel.

    Too true! It feels like masochism of the highest order when you voluntarily go in for chemo! I'm sorry, it's 4:45 in the morning and I'm sitting here laughing like a loon! You sure said it! Hang in there, Bro! There is an end to all of this. Meanwhile, keep up the humor--it'll get you through!

    there were times I said to myself: all I have to do is cross the threshhold of the hospital. I just have to get there and in the door....

    How about a planned treat before each round? I started doing that (manicure or massage, for me....).

    Phil - Should have caught the rash thing. That`s very punny(pretend I didn`t just type something that lame).
    Yes, I am on cpt11 too but so far the worst part of chemo has been the rash. Of course, I am a newbie and I am sure it takes a bigger toll on your body over time. Thankfully so far no fingertip involvement but it is still early I don`t know what`s to come.I think we all agree none of it is pretty but it beats the heck out of the alternative. Right now my face can`t decide what to do. It burns and gets fiery red at night and I wake up in the morning with whelps on my face and dry skin. It seems to be on a wierd little cycle. I guess I am just a medical enigma.

    I`ll bring the chips if you bring the barf bags. Don`t hog the benadryl!

    chemo im right in there with ya.i get to have my first cat scan since my surgery. i will be doing that on monday and than go to chemo #7 on tuesday such a fun week.keep the party going...Godbless....johnnybegood

    Yup I guess we are going to have a chemo party after all. Well I'm going to be there and I know you are joining me.

    Geez Phil, too bad you can't bring your guitar and play for us through some internet connection while we are having our party. That would be just awesome.

    Just remember We are the Champions my friend. And we'll keep on fighting till the end. Just remember pretty soon you'll be having your last chemo treatment. Hope this one is easy on you.

    My oncologist had me come in
    My oncologist had me come in a day early for treatment(oh joy!)so my chemo party is over with the exception of my little friend(5fu) whom I take home with me for two days. I guess I will have to name him. I think i`ll call him Jr. I named my original tumor, i might as well name my portable infuser. My original tumor is Buttercup. Buttercup is now gone but her offspring remain, and that is what we are working on now. I guess I cannot complain about going to the infusion room or carrying around Jr.- It beats the altrnative. Although,I will say I am always more than happy to ditch Jr. after those two days. How`s that, he is there to help and gets no respect.
    Phil - This herb you speak of; Is it medically prescribed or just for your own enjoyment? }:.}
