    This evening's haul
We had dinner at Ruby Tuesday's in the mall and then Moopy did some "warmup shopping" in the women's apparel department at JC Penney's. I think she kept the bill in double digits, although I didn't dare ask for confirmation. Whatever amount I got soaked for, the smile on Moopster's face was well worth it.

Sisters, you are the best! I want to get rid of the wretched sofa I've been lying on for the last six months. Thanks for backing me up. (Did I say I love you??)

p.s. Jackie, I like your new photo--very glam. Another side to our Montana outdoor girl.

    Sounds like a lovely evening...
A nice dinner, and then a bit of shopping. Sounds like a lovely Saturday evening.

ONLY double digits @ JCP? Yeah, I'd consider that just a warm-up. (Sorry, Joe.)

And, yeah - I agree, of course - she's worth it... Besides, she DESERVES it!

    Kind regards, Susan

P.S. to Joe: By the way, it's called RETAIL THERAPY!!! Women understand the profound benefits of this type of therapy. Men, not so much.

    ONLY a new sofa!?!
Moopy, dear - is that ALL you want? A sofa? ONE SOFA?!?

He said FURNITURE. Furniture implies multiple pieces, an entire suite, a whole room...

And all you want is a SOFA?!? A sofa is NOT furniture - it's simply a "piece" of furniture.

What's next? He also said: appliances. What - you want a new toaster? A new coffee maker? THOSE are NOT appliances!!!

Men... They just don't get the RETAIL THERAPY lingo, do they? :-)

    Kind regards, Susan

    See? Lili GETS it!

Moopy - go for it! The ENTIRE living room! After all, HE's the one who said: FURNITURE!

Joe - sorry. You're stuck now. Because I know you're a man of your WORD! HA HA HA! (Your word = furniture, get it? Lame attempt at cleverness?)

Poor Joe --- NOT! I'm sorry
Poor Joe --- NOT! I'm sorry I can't back you up but it is amazing what new furniture(which is plural) can do for a woman's soul. Which also means that in the end you will benefit also. Maybe not your soul, but men have been known to get excited about furniture. It will be in your best interest to be one of those men. I'm trying to help you out here, man!

    Love to you both,
    Donna

    New Settee? Furniture?
Sorry Joe, you are sooooooo skrewed! A Settee is a settee, Furniture is Plural, Settee is Singular. Sorry, sofa.. hey Sofa - so good!LOL

Well, you must do like my Dad does...Catch them moths as they fly out of your wallet and charge 'em rent!

Retail Therapy is ESSENTIAL to breast cancer recovery.

    Furniture (plural noun) Project
Sorry, Mimi. I'm trying to convince my hubby that we need to replace the living room furniture that I have spent the last few dark months staring at or sleeping on.

Thank you sisters for helping me with this little retail project. I think Aortus is about to cave in.

Wish you all had been around when I wanted to upgrade the diamond on my wedding band!

That could be the next "Retail" assignment if you really want us to wear Joe down. LOL I'm sure all the sisters would assist. Hugs, Lili

    Moopy's Getting a New Sofa! :-)
Hey, Mimi. Good to see you posting!

For further background on this nonsense, also see thread: "did you ever get back..." (re: hair) by ohilly, created 3/18/2009. A few of us got a little silly a few days ago, all in good fun. Poor Aortus/Joe - mostly at his expense! Within that thread, I'm quite proud of my post: RETAIL THERAPY TUTORIAL #1, directed to Joe. ALL the women "get it" - Joe needs to be educated!

Hope the bumps you unfortunately experienced at the beginning of your rads last week have been smoothed over, Mimi.

    Kind regards, Susan

Moopy NEEDS a new piece (Note: piece = singular item) of DIAMOND JEWELRY!!!

This is something a husband should never, ever deny his deserving wife.

    CALLING AORTUS/JOE
Joe, Moopy really needs a nice diamond piece. Maybe some nice earrings, or a nice tennis bracelet, or even a nice diamond pendant. Something that screams: I LOVE YOU, YOU'RE THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME, you know what we mean. Hugs, Lili
