I am so fed up. I have YET to hear from MD regarding my WBS on 3-27 (yes, over a month!) He decided to take a 3 week vacation before calling me with results, I DID have the nurse tell me that my TG is at 4.2 & she wanted me to wait for him to come back instead of going to other dr from practice. Well, now he's back a week, I left a list of phone #'s of where I'm gonna be at the times. Of course he called my home # & said he'll call Monday,....which never happened. I called the answering service tonight & said he needs to call tomorrow or he's FIRED! (which I think he will be anyways). Anyone know of a good Dr in Chicago Burbs?

    Test results
I ALWAYS HAVE MY ENDO/DOC SENT ME COPIES OF MY TEST RESULTS. EITHER MAIL THEM OR FAX THEM TO ME AT WORK. THAT WAY I KNOW WHAT TO ASK ABOUT. I SEE WHAT MY LEVELS ARE AND HOW THEY CHANGED PLUS I UNDERSTAND MORE ABOUT REGULATING MY MEDS.

    I had an endo
I had an endo do something similar to me, I called the radiology dept. where I had my Imaging done and got a copy of the report. They were actually upset with the doctor as they try to have those out within 24 hours. This was an mri, but they must have called the doctors office because as soon as I picked up a copy of the report the doctors office started calling me.

    fed up
You should never have to wait that long. Besides, they are your medical records, all you have to do is go to the hospital and sign a release for any of your records, labs, tests, etc.. and they have to give you a copy. Go to medical records and fill out the form or sometimes you can give it to the lab etc... I do it all the time. There is no excuse to have to wait that long.

    Be careful
I am not extremely happy with my doctor because I went through something similar. I was told to call other doctors and asked if they would give a second opinion. Most doctors will be glad to give a second opinion, but things can get a little touchy if you say bad things about another doctor. Find a tactful way of asking them to become your primary doctor.

    Also Your FamilyDoctor
I also have all my Endo/Doc's test results sent to my family doctor. Just so there is another set of medical records with my test reults.
