Okay let me start over, I don't think I explained myself well. I was wondering how one would place a photo of document withing the body of the message one is typing to the group. There have been several occasions when I have wanted to do so but do not know how. I have been a few of you do it and am hoping you can help me with instructions so that I can do it too. :-)

Thanks

Do you mean add a link in
Do you mean add a link in the body of the message? Like Moopy's b/f or husband does? Or, just change your avator or personal picture?

    not sure what i mean
Jeanne I am not sure how to do it but i am not talking about the avatar. I want to be able to drop documents into the body of my message. I dont want to link to it. I want the picture of my document to show up in the body of the message. Does that make any sense or am i not saying it well. It would be like seeing a photo below the words I am typing here.

Help is on the way, RE!
To imbed an image in one of your posts, follow the instructions on this page. It says "The image tag is used to place an image on the web page. In its most simple form it looks like this:" followed by the code for imbedding an image.

Note that the part that goes into the quotes "image1.jpg" actually has to be the full web address of an image already on the Internet. In order to post this picture of a lovely 1955 Pontiac,

    image

I had to insert the full URL "http://www.hubcapcafe.com"/i_st/1955_Pontiac.jpg" in the quotes. Hope this helps. Moopy needs to be fed, so I will be back to check.

    Best,
    Joe

    Whoa, sorry...
I was so WAY off on this one, RE. Thanks for better explanation - although it doesn't really matter because I most certainly can't help ya! :-) ... I'm just not THAT good with the computer. Good thing Joe got to your "#2" post already! Good luck!

    Kind regards, Susan

    Right on the mark!
You were right the first time - Joe is a professor. But he has been fooling around with web sites for years. Obviously, there's no fooling you, Susan!

That is my littlest grandson. I take what we refer to as silly pictures with my grandchildren and we have a blast doing it. This was his first time getting to do the silly pictures and as you can see we had a lot of fun!

Joe, thank you so much for such a great lesson! You are indeed a wonderful teacher!

    Grade = A+
You are indeed a wonderful student, RE!

And the pictures are spectacular! I showed them to Moopy just before she left for work and she just laughed and laughed out loud at your grandson's first set of silly pictures with his beloved grandmother. The perfect way to start Moopy's "Last-Day-Of-Chemo Eve!"

RE ... I just saw your successful attempt at posting pictures and I LOVE them. And I love the fact that they are "life sized." Put a big smile on my face. And you do have an adorable grandson.

Maybe now that Joe has explained the process more people will share pictures. I'm not sure my chemo brain can handle the technical aspects to do it ... but I do hope others post pictures!

    hugs.

    Hi Joe!
How do I add a picture from my Pictures file? There would be no website addy, just the file called Pictures on my computer. Or, from a diskette? Thanks Joe!

    WOW!
RE - Am so impressed by your new-found technical ability!!! Good for you!

Your little guy is handsome (of course he is because he resembles his very attractive grandma!) & precious. The love between the two of you is so evident in these photos.

    Thanks for sharing!

    Kind regards, Susan

P.S.: Thanks to you, too, Joe - for helping RE & the rest of us...
