We were talking in another post about the way that steroids make you feel a lot better while you did chemo or basically they make you feel better while doing anything but they are not for exceptionally long term use.....Might you ask your Oncologist if steroids would make Angel feel better for a while ? I do know my 80 year old mother said that after 2 days on them she thought that she could whip me .....LOL......It made her feel great....It is merely a suggestion that might allow Angel some break from the pain and nausea....I don't see anything at all that it could hurt but I am not a Dr......God Bless you both......

    angels been there tried that
We did try steriods but that did not help but let me say angel is feeling alot better no vomiting eating and drinking what he wants. The hospice nurse is amazed with his progress since a month or so ago. He did go around the block several times on the harley he was in 7th heaven he said it felt good so he told me to get on and took me around the block he did very well. It is bike week here in scottsdale and phx we go every year. he will take it slow and see how he feels this weekend but he wants to ride. i will keep you posted

    the harley- woo hoo!
    Hey Michelle,

Woo hoo! I'm so glad to hear Angel got to get on the Harley and "go around the block several times". That's great to hear and that he's been doing a bit better lately, so far as no vomiting and keeping food down.
Hope you have a great day- hugs to you, dear!

    He is happy
What a turn around for him, the pain pump is working good he does have a little pain but no big deal no nausea or vomiting. he could use some more poundage but he is stong enough for the harley. I hope he continues to have good days but with angel things can turn bad quickly for him so we will just pray that he has good days. thanks lisa hugs to you too

    Good News
I am so happy for you and Angel that he is doing better and actually got
to take his rides and that the pain and nausea are under control. It
must be a quality time for both of you which you needed so much. In
the darkest night, sometimes good things do happen. Hope he continues to
    have some good days.

    The energies are aligned!
Oh Michelle, I'm so happy that Angel is getting a break from that horrible pain and nausea. I am hoping that whatever dosage or meds they have him on, now have things under control so his journey now will be peaceful and pain-free. That is absolutely fabulous that he has been able to get on his bike AND had the energy and desire to share a ride with you. That is so incredibly special in my eyes.

Well, it is now Friday morning (ok, so the wee hours of Friday morning for those of us out West ), which means the weekend is almost here. I'm hoping that Angel is still feeling good and that he will be able to participate somewhat in Bike Week. I know, psychologically, this will do him and you a world of good!!

    Huggggggs,

Can't bring it threw the door i wanted to put it in the kitchen in the summer, the garage would get to be about 90 degrese but it wouldn't fit. Well friday we took a ride to hacienda harley they had a big shin dig so we got there about 6.00 pm he got a beer we walked for about 5 min he got tired so we sat done for about 30 min his brother was with us so it started getting dark and a little cooler well about 7.30 he stared feeling nauseated so we decided to leave but he started feeling cold he had 2 tee shirts and a thermal and his leather jacket on. so we are near the exit and he really isn't feeling well we ended up calling my son to pick us up now we are waiting outside for him then angels starts to throw up it was alot too people saw but they probably thinks he had to much to drink, so any ways angel myself and my sister in law got into the car angels brother drove his harley ( we Had to leave ours ) we got home dropped off angel went back and picked up our harley and came home. You know i told angel after an hour if he wanted to go and he said no i'm ok. but that just shows you how things can change quickly. Angels 3 aunts an an uncle came from tx to see him so we didn't go anywhere this weekend. We will have 6 days of bike week so we will see about this weekend but we will not go when it gets dark and we will just stay a short time.

Saturday he was tearful because he wanted to ride but his aunts were there and he did not want to be rude by leaving them. Too many relatives coming since jan his mom and dad have been there for 2 months , I told angel i just want to be alone with you he just looks at me,

I think he wants his parents there so i will go along.

we will see about trying to ride again this week.

    talk to you soon

    Michelle......
I understand perfectly about you wanting him all to yourself, but his mom and dad are just as special for him to be around. He is their "baby" and I know you understand that. It is just hard anyway you look at it but its whatever he wants right now that is right. You know he loves you and I am sure he feels kinda caught in the middle but I know that you can reassure him that everythings good.....I am glad he got out and around. Also beer and chemo don't mix.....but hes entitled to it if he wants...I hope and pray everyday that you and him have great moments together every minute. Enjoy each other and keep assuring him that everything is good...remember to keep smiling for him...and you both..... God Bless you both......

    Hacienda Harley
Well, small world. I was at the Harley event about the same time you guys were. I was the one drooling over the bikes, but then again that just made me part of a large crowd. I was on my way to COSTCO and always take that back road. Since they had it closed off partly for the party, I stopped in for a few minutes. You guys live in Cave Creek, right? That's kind of the center of the Harley universe during Bike Week. Anyway, it's so good to hear about the positive change in Angel because that also means a positive boost for you as well.

Too bad the Harley won't fit inside, that would be great!

Hope to see you guys, but I know the odds of that are pretty slim.
