Doctor was very pleased that my liver enzymes and all other tests are 'perfect' but my white count was only 500. I was told to avoid enclosed public places for at least 3 or 4 days and given masks to wear if I absolutely HAVE to go into a store.

Also, the doctor has decided to decrease my dosage because I'm very tiny and my 'little body' can't handle the original dosage.

So, we try again next week.

    Same thing happened to DH
he was really feeling good by the time he could get the treatment.

Then after the next treatment (24 hrs) he got an injection of Neulasta to raise his
white count. It worked great. His count was higher after the Neulasta than it was when
he got his first treatment. That next treatment was a breeze, too. I think it had something to do with the fact his blood count was up.
    Good luck for next week.

    Thanks Sandy!
Hope your hubby continues to do well! I'm hoping my WBC's will correct themselves without meds. I don't like meds. :o)

UPDATED: white count perfect, liver enzymes b/c of gallbladder
My blood work was PERFECT other than slightly elevated liver enzymes that point to gall bladder. Dr. said LOW FAT diet and head to ER if I have any fevers with pain. I had treatment #3 today at 75% dosage due to being 'a tiny thing'. NO problems with infusion so hope I'm not as wiped out after this treatment!

    Thanks for those prayers!

    God IS SO good!

    Good for you
So glad your blood count was good and you were able to receive #3. Husband had his CT last week and we found out that results were good. Everything looks good and the dr. commented that he is sailing thru these treatments. EAsy for him to say, eh? Seriously tho he is not having the horrible side effects that some are having with this chemo. It's all good. And yes, God is SO VERY VERY good!

That's GREAT! No problems here, either
I had treatment #3 yesterday out of 12 and other than some cold sensitivity to drinks, no problems. I didn't sleep a long time last night, due to the steroids, but feel really good so far! Good appetite. Cannot 'smell' the chemo. No weakness. Teeny headache on and off but I avoid all medicines! I get disconnected at 11:45 on Friday. Looking forward to two weeks of freedom and feeling good!
